I have mixed feelings about this place. It's a bit pricey but the stylists are generally kind and experienced. My first time there the guy wasn't listening to what I had asked for, and he bleached almost all of my hair (I'd asked for just several chunks of highlights, not the whole thing). Then he dyed it all aqua blue, but what I wasn't warned about is that I was paying an extra $10-$15 per every little bowl of dye they used on me.
So they used bowl after bowl after bowl, so the price became very expensive and much higher than I was quoted. I wasn't happy, because although the hairstyle looked cool, it was not what I'd asked for at all. With one stylist and a couple assistants, I was stuck in the chair for almost 8 hours straight. My neck and back were wrecked afterwards.
My second time there, the woman did exactly what I asked her not to do, cutting pieces of my hair extremely short when I was trying to grow it all out. Once again, the haircut looked pretty good, but my one hair nightmare had come true. I had short pieces of hair sticking out everywhere.
The owner is really nice and sociable, and the salon is very clean, open and sophisticated. The atmosphere is friendly, and if you're looking for color they have a ton. I'm giving 4 stars to give them the benefit of the doubt, because my overall experience there has been good. It would just help if the stylists listened a...
Read moreGreat customer service overall. My stylist always does a great job but my last experience was less than what was before. I know I have very challenging hair, and it's been a month since I've had my hair done (so what am I talking about, right?) but one thing that I noticed within only a couple of days after the appointment was that my gray hair (YES I do have gray hair as I'm older than their typical, college age clientele) was showing up "nice" and "bright". One of my big things is to cover my gray hair (sorry, I don't like my gray hair, it makes me feel and look like I'm in my 70s at least) Long story short, here are my issues for this particular haircut, color, and style: a) my grays were intensely showing after only a few days, b) the left side of my head looks like an inverted flower pot, much like an old British "new wave" band Devo, and c) at almost $200 I was expecting something far better that an inverted flower pot with gray roots all over the place especially on the sides. The good thing is that if you are very specific and very insisting about what you need, the ladies there will do it if they take the time and listen to you. Just beware if you're over 25 years old as our hair requires more attention than the naturally beautiful hair of...
Read moreI didn't want to write this, but for the fact my hair is basically dead after service at this place. I went to this place for dimensional hair, red color. I was at this place from 2-8pm just for the color service. It took 3 hours for the stylist to apply the foils on my hair and I had bleach on it for about 5 hours. The red toner then, didn't pick in some places and I have puffs of blond, and orange in my hair. My hair is completely fried. I arrived there with an extremely healthy hair, that even the stylist noted. My hair is fried. I can't even comb my hair at the moment. This is beyond making a bad color right, my hair is gone, and for that I wouldn't go back for them to fix it. I paid a lot of money for this terrible service and I don't know when I will be able to fix this. It will take a lot of research to find a place and time, my hair cannot survive any chemicals at the moment. The staff is friendly, but it is a business at the end of the day and my money was completely wasted. I cannot even hide by putting my hair up on a ponytail because of the blond puffs. See in picture. I cry every time I look...
