My husband and I have been coming here for a couple years now. The fish is always fresh and the portions of Nigiri sushi are enormous for the low cost. They always provide complimentary miso soup. I highly recommend their salmon and spicy tuna. It's fantastic. They've recently added boba to the menu and I can't wait to try that soon. There hasn't been anything from there that we have disliked. My favorites from the menu are the Salmon Nigiri, Spicy Tuna Roll, Super Maguro Roll, and the Soy Beans. My eyes bulge out of my head every time we go there because I always forget how massive the portions are of the Nigiri. It takes 2 to 3 bites to eat one piece of any of the Nigiri. They're both super long and very thick and incredibly fresh. When you come here, they are incredibly welcoming and give you the miso soup right off the bat. It is hot and good. You can order ahead through third party apps on Google but they tell you to just call the order in so you can save some money. As the name is Sushi To Go, they are really fast considering how excellent the rolls are. They might not be cut totally symmetrical but you are going to get a crazy deal for the amount of fresh sushi you will get. This place is absolutely...
Read moreStrange and oddly charming. While walking into Sushi To Go you will see multiple signs, one below the restaurant logo advertising some foods they have and also mens hair cuts. The other signs are by the front door, being held by a mannequin women (also advertising hair cuts and food.) I am all for using all of your talents to make money but maybe not haircuts with food. Inside the restaurant/barber shop is less strange. It looks like your run of the mill restaurant although very quite. When I went in there were 3 people there, an older woman, an older man, and a younger man. They were all very kind but quite. The whole restaurant was quite except from the noise from some cell phones. I ordered a spicy California roll and an Arizona roll.
Honestly, after seeing all the strangeness I wasn't expecting much, but the sushi was pretty good. The presentation was a bit striking in how beautiful the food was plated. In the end, I will be going back, although, I might order...
Read moreKelly is amazing. My family and I have been ordering sushi here for over a year. We get it at least once a week. My kids love saying hello to Kelly and her dad who are both friendly and outgoing. They work very hard and are well loved by all their customers. Not once have we ever been disappointed. The sushi is fresh and tastes great. My kids love the miso soup, and Cali rolls and tofu nigiri. Kelly even offers suggestions when we want to mix things up. We are loyal customers and I honestly think this little gem of a restaurant is the best sushi in Tucson. They have handled the pandemic very well with take out policies in place for now but that doesn’t diminish the quality of the food you get from...
