ā¢Unreliable to fix any issues after the install of any of their services. ā¢Violated multiple basic consumer laws. ā¢Harassment and unprofessionalism.
Iām leaving an honest 1-star review for Milky Way Interiors for multiple unacceptable issues. When I first contacted them for a quote, all was well. I went in, got the work done, and everything was great! I even left a 5-star review. BUT when issues arose with the original kit and installation, the owner failed to actually care saying āDamn that sucksā I wish I was lying, eventually, we set a time and date to fix the issues after many attempts to get an appointment. At that point, I said, āWhy not get the panoramic roof ambient lighting done?ā so we added that onto the job. The plan was to fix the original issues and install the panoramic sunroof lighting. I paid the full $250 for the ambient lighting and dropped off my car.
24 hours later, I was told it was ready, except they never installed the panoramic roof lighting. Why? Because the kit didnāt arrive in time. This was disappointing, because now Iād have to go out of my way again to make another appointment and they were already unreliable with scheduling. At least the other issues were fixed except when I got the car back, it was left a mess. There were scraps of material throughout the interior and smudges everywhere, including the windshield. They had even tampered with my dashcam removing my SD for āprivacyā reasons.
I respectfully brought up the mess and the owner immediately took it personally. He called me āextraā and instead of taking responsibility or apologizing, he brushed it off. I clarified that I was giving respectful feedback, not being hostile. After that, I reached back out to schedule the pano lighting install I had already paid for and got ignored. Days later, he decided to cut off the business relationship altogether claiming heād give me a 10$ refund for the unused strip. Yet Iād still be paying for the rest of the $240 for nothing.
At that point, I formally requested a FULL refund, in which he said ānot happeningā Then added, āU wanna be a man call meā and proceeded to call me three times. He even said āI will tell the dispute (the bank) work was completedā which is an admission of fraud⦠I responded, āFor documentation purposes - Iām keeping all communication in writingā and he replied, āThatās what I thoughtā He followed up with more unprofessional comments like āSo why you want to be further more difficult? Then not even call and be a manā He also said, āAnd if u want a refund for anything you are getting thay shit fully removed lolā implying that my ambient lighting (from my first original visit) would be ripped out as retaliation, like Iād even give you the keys, which is completely unprofessional and illegal for him to do.
He then tried to redefine what I paid for, saying, āPanoramic lighting has a lot of meeting including a 360ā° vieww of your ambient lighting which you gotā That is a deceptive post-sale reinterpretation of the term and a violation of consumer law (A.R.S. § 44-1522). Itās also breach of contract. He still tried to claim āDid u read policy on the order page ā Says refund only for unused itemsā yet refused to refund me for an item that was never even installed. He even said, āUr project was š„š„š„ cant even deny that ā For the parts I did do it was fireeā admitting he didnāt do the complete install.
At this point I stopped replying a long time ago and let Amex handle the claim. But yes, beware of Milky Way Interiors. They started off great, but when things went wrong, they failed to fix it, acted hostile, and broke consumer laws in the process. Failing to maintain professionalism is one thing, but misrepresentation and deception is another. I had hoped for a better outcome, but that didnāt happen. Sadly Iāve also heard of others having EASE getting their first appointment done, but anything that needs to be fixed after? Good luck with them prioritizing you. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went for Milky Way Interiors because I was interested in getting a starlight headliner in my 2019 Camaro ZL1 & wanted to go with them because of how great their headliners looked compared to competitors who quoted me nearly double. I am blown away with how realistic the whole thing turned out to look. They took about a day & kept it over night, but next morning I had 600 stars installed my headliner that they wrapped in suede. Completely changed my interior. They even went above and beyond and re-created the night I was born right on my headliner which I have never seen done anywhere. they gave great customer service right off the bat and kept me updated with my carās progress. Great people I will definitely be using them for my other cars & recommending them to my friends. Super happy thereās a company out here taking this...

I was 3 hours away from their shop, theyāre located in Tucson and I was in Phoenix and they found a way to work with my schedule and have starlights installed in just one day. They sent me update pictures and photos of the final product and man Iād be lying if I said that they didnāt kill it. Such clean and smooth work was done to my headliner, no problems, no issues, and no damages. All functions of the lights are still in perfect condition and everything runs smoothly. Their customer service is also outstanding, fast responses and some really really nice people. Very respectful and understanding with some concerns that I had and explained details down to a tea.
