Los Bertos Mexican Food — Restaurant in Tucson

I recently moved into a new neighborhood and discovered this gem quite quickly. Authentic Mexican food that tastes amazing with a friendly girl who is always so sweet when I stop by. Their menu is amusing (if you wanna know why you gotta go see for yourself) and I have a blast reading it. I've been here a bunch and it's my go to whenever I'm hungry for some Carne Asada or fantasizing about some good horchata. I will update with a pic when I go again, prolly in a few days lol. Highly recommend Los Bertos! Side note, if you go and you have to wait, don't be a d*ck about it. They usually only have two people working and if you didn't have to wait, then I would be worried. The wait is because they're making FRESH food for you. So be courteous and understanding. If you'd rather a shorter wait time then go elsewhere where they don't make fresh food and give you whatever gross things they have...

We ordered breakfast burritos and drink on 12/28. Service was horrible. The woman had bad attitude and showed no interest in taking care of customers. She was visibly agitated when when asked for anything. My soda refill had some sort of chemicals that caused me to spit out, there must be some cleaning chemicals added. When I brought it back, she simple said "I'll get you a new one," and disappeared to the back and brought back another cup. I began to feel sick to my stomach (lasting for the next 24 hours.) We immediately stopped eating and discarded the remaining foods/drinks.

I felt very sad as we've been a long time patron of this place. I've enjoyed sitting in their clean patio enjoy a simple burrito. Things changed...

This has been one of our favorite spots since we moved into this area about 5 years ago. Recently, however, they have changed staff and/or management. The food still tastes great, and I usually don't mind any price increase, well, because that's just part of life. However, the burritos have drastically been reduced in size and we are disappointed. We have gone here three times just to make sure it just wasn't an "off" day, but it seems they want to charge more.for much less...guess we find a new favorite spot. Seriously, if we wanted a small burrito, after being used to the great service and hearty serving size, we would go to Taco...
