Absolutely delicious food that made me feel amazing after eating. The green sauce was very spicy and blended well with my dish. aaand they gave me a banana... what an interesringly odd yet nice touch.
The price / portions were also spot on in my opinion. I ordered the chicken Kati. Thank goodness they actually had the bitter bread. The portions are on the larger side. I had enough for a second meal later in the day. Yes, it was so good I couldn't wait to eat the rest. Usually I save left overs for the next day.
Since I got this food to go, I'll keep my review rating to just rate the food. The parking is pretty bad with only about 8 parking spots, but at least they have do have dedicated parking. I showed up at 9 am and the parking lot only had one space left just for me. There was already several people inside eating. Even more came and went while I waited.
The interior needs a full make over in my opnion, but it's all fairly functional. Also their drinking water situation was confusing as they didn't even off me water with my meal. Maybe that was my fault. I originally asked for my food to go but mentioned that I was so hungry I was gonna eat some as soon as they handed it to me. So they decided to give it to me on a dine in plate.
Don't come for a fancy date night or even to impress anyone. Unless you explain the interior design situation ahead of time.... it's like eating at an old uncle or grandparents house.
Their service is fairly average, but the employees are a super chill vibe. A lot of customers had very lengthy conversations with the teller regardless if they were ordering, just hanging out, or already done eating.
Honestly I've been thinking about going back all week. Next time I'm in the area, stopping in for a plate...
Read moreSo I went into this place for the first time, yesterday. We were slightly ignored by the guy at the counter. He was just watching some video or movie on his phone. It took us a while to get his attention. On the back of the wall behind the counter was a menu. My friend was asking about some of the Google pictures we had saw online as to which item was what. He couldn't really explain it to us and just kept pointing at one thing. The items on the menu on the wall had interested me. And I proceeded to order based on that menu. He proceeded to tell me that those items are not ready yet. Mind you it was about 6 p.m. So I had asked him. Is that maybe a lunch special? He said no. Just not ready. Then he kept pointing at The picture on the phone and that that's what they had. After going back and forth trying to figure out what they actually offered. It came down to the conclusion that they only had. Lamb and chicken with rice. There was multiple things on the menu on the wall, And he was pretty much telling me that they only had the one item. Glancing at the other menu that he had given us, a paper menu, that none of it was ready,Or able to be ordered. I realized that the lamb was one of the most expensive item on their menu. I just felt like he was pushing us to pay for the most expensive item and telling us that nothing else was available. How do you have a restaurant and only serve one dish? We...
Read moreMy partner and I tried this place for the first time last night, and WOW! Everything exceeded our expectations. My partner, who has eaten lamb maybe twice in his life, had the lamb dish and cleaned his plate. I had the King Fish, which is some of the most flavorful fresh salmon I've enjoyed, hands down. (They cook everything without salt, only spices. I swear it's magic.) If you're not into spicy hot, skip the green sauce. If you are, you'll love its tanginess, which complements the spices of the entree. Also, the prices are very reasonable, especially for the huge portions. Best part of this place is the guy running the restaurant (sadly didn't catch his name — I was too busy devouring my food). Super personable at just the right amount. Place could use a little decor, though, but we were told a corner room is being converted into an intimate group dining space with floor seating. Can't...
