Denny's — Restaurant in Tulare

The only reason I am giving this Denny's just one star is because the host was super nice. While being pregnant, she brought us a highchair without having to even ask us. So thank you for that. I'm from Exeter, but used to live in Tulare. I hardly go out to eat dinner since I have a busy schedule and 4 little ones. I decided after doing some late Christmas shopping (7pm) that I would stop into Denny's with my boyfriend, my 4 year old daughter and my 7 month old little girl. The host helped us right away. I had been waiting to try to the salted caramel banana creme pancakes for about two months now so that is exactly what I ordered. My daughter got a Kids Meal which included a build your own Grand Slam which had three tiny pancakes two sausages and scrambled eggs, which is what she chose. My boyfriend also ordered a burger not exactly sure what type it was but it had meat bacon eggs and some kind of spicy cheese sauce? When our food arrived my boyfriend's Burger had barely no sauce on it at all and that's practically the main thing of the burger so he asked if he could get an extra side of sauce as well. My daughter's food had only one piece of sausage not a big deal I know right but I asked for the waitress if she could get us an extra piece because that is what it came with. When I got my mail my eggs were cooked perfectly so we're my hash browns and I receive yes my two pieces of sausage but that wasn't the issue. My top pancake was slightly burnt and there was no cream filling in the middle I lifted up the first Pancake to see if there was any cream filling at all which shows in the picture below, and I kid you not there was maybe a teaspoon of creme. I had the waitress come over and I asked her do these come with cream in the center? Since she took my menu I could not see that I slightly remember that is supposed to be cream in the middle correct? She looked at me and asked me if they're supposed to be and I said I think so so she asked the cook to make her some more cream. This is where the problem began, she said they "ran out" that's why j didn't get any on my pancakes. I can understand if you run out of something but if you were to order a burger and they ran out of meat would you still get the burger or would they offer you to get something else. So she brought me the cream. Freezing cold. -no joke. And you could COMPLETELY TELL whoever mixed it together STUCK THEIR FREAKING FINGER IN THE MIX AND swiped it up on the side of the bowl I'm guessing to taste it to see if it was okay? I told my boyfriend that I was done eating I wasn't even going to eat it I got a box to go and we left with no tip. I'm disgusted. So much for my first time with those pancakes I had been...

I ordered their chicken fried chicken, it was like eating sodium, the gravy tasted like mushroom and was only able to be tasted if you tried it by it's self and really tried to taste it, the broccoli tasted like it was made by a child, overcooked, over boiled. The sweet corn was good.

When I finished my water, the waiter walked by twice and didn't fill it, I had to request her to fill up my water, after finishing it again, she served our food and said "I guess you want me to full your water again" and after my meal and finishing my water, I I tried to get the attention of my waiter which was too busy talking to co workers, a different staff member who was cleaning his tables saw me holding up my hand for a while and decided to come assist, asked me "how can I help" i asked for more water and he told my waiter who JUST caught on that I need service.

This was the night crew, so take this with a grain of salt I guess, would not go back to Dennys, if this is the kind of quality that comes out of this chain, it shouldn't be a sit down establishment, it should be a drive through. For a first time experience, this was extremely...

(I wish i could put no stars ) I had the worst denny's experience at this location. The server we got was so jelly headed and not paying attention to anything. We had requested to sit in the open seating, which is when she told us it was closed... but then she had two more couples seated in the "closed" area. We asked for our drinks (milk shakes and two glasses of water) we had to ask for the water 4 times before she even brought it out to us. the appetizer was almost finished literally only one piece of chicken left before she even brought me my shake. We had even asked for BBQ and she never brought it. The whole store was disorganized to say the least. They messed up my order, cant blame them the manager took our order without even writing it down. McDonalds could have gave me a better and more accurate experience. On top of the mess ups already, she didn't even provide us silverware until we pointed it out after sitting with our food for a couple minutes... HIGHLY DISSATISFIED.
