This place is a hidden gem of a hole in the wall. My friend and I ate here for lunch and were treated with such excellent attention. All the ladies working were so sweet and so caring. I have food allergies and my friend is vegetarian. They were able to work with us to make sure we got food we could eat and that we would love. Even though they ended up being out of the cheese empanada I had ordered, I had been wanting to try cheese pastelitos and they brought me those instead with major apologies. They are very similar to a cheese empanada, so it was no big deal at all. I mentioned it was a birthday gift from God, because He knew I had been wanting to try pastelitos, and the lady brought us a slice of cake to celebrate since my birthday was recent. My vegetarian friend ordered the bowl with salad and 5 toppings and was able to get rice, black beans, avocado, corn, and plantains that came on top of mixed greens. She also got the passion fruit juice, which she absolutely loved! It was all delicious! There was also a Peruvian restaurant in the space whose food smelled delicious. The building is a bit plain, but it seems like the space would be a wonderful place to have weekend salsa dancing since there is extra space away from the tables. The quality of the food and the kind service definitely make you...
Read moreI saw this place on my way to work one day, and finally decided to give it a try. I'm so glad that I did. I had never had an arepa before so I didn't know exactly what to order . The young woman was very friendly and took the time to go over the menu with me before ordering. As a appetizer I ordered the cheese empanadas. They were the perfect bite of cheesy fried goodness. As and entrée I ordered the arepa trio and chose the pabellon, queen, and brandito arepas. They were fresh and delicious. They pabellon was definitely my favorite. It was warm and savory with the right amount of sweetness from the plantains. If you're in the area and want to try delicious food with friendly service definitely check this place out. I know I will definitely be...
Read moreI stumbled upon this place while on a hungry quest to find some good, clean, and affordable food in the middle of a very busy day. I was driving up and down those Mid Tulsa streets and nothing was catching my attention, but then I saw the word, “arepas”. Arepas??! I didn’t know we had those here! We have gone back 5 times in the last 6 moths, and it’s not even in my immediate work or home area. But I will happily drive a little bit more for the juicy beef, the sweet plantains, covered in melted mozzarella of the Pabillon arepas. My husband loves the trio platter, and I always get the yuca fries. Their service is amazing and the atmosphere super cool and laid back. Everything very clean and classy, and lots of space for seating...
