If you don’t like onions you can stop reading here. This is not the place for you. I don’t like onions - so I ding them one star for that. I wish I knew going in that *every burger* has onion embedded in the meat by Bill before he puts them on the flattop. I would not have spent $8 on a burger I wasn’t going to eat if I had known that. I learned it by watching the process. It is a very deliberate process in which the onions are pulled from a bowl and placed on top of the patties then set on the griddle. Not gonna lie - the man takes the utmost care and is a burger chef of the highest order. These are great looking burgers and they are methodically prepared. It would appear that nothing is left to chance and every burger is going to be consistent. If you liked it 20 years ago then you are going to like it today. The fries are fresh, handcut potatoes and this is always, to me, the mark of a truly great fry. Delicious. I didn’t sample the tots or onion rings (natch) but they look to be of equally high quality. The place is old and full of character. But it’s clean and tidy. The service is very friendly and efficient. Of note: it is CASH ONLY. As best I can tell is they buy a certain amount of fresh beef every day and when they run out service wraps up until the next open day. When that happens is a moving target but if you wait too long after the lunch hour, you might find them closed for the day. One other thing: it’s not fast food, there is a process and it is carefully made. I noticed a lot of customers called their orders in and then showed up a bit later to pay and collect their food. Seems like a great idea because it is tiny and not much room to wait. The bottom line is I would probably be a regular here were it not for the onion thing. I wish I could stomach onions. I really do. Because this place is a true Tulsa classic run by people that care about what they are doing. So they do it right.

Pretty good 1/2 lb bacon cheeseburger and fries. I should have ordered the 1/3 lb but I usually get more than I should eat. I suggest ordering ahead and picking up unless it's cool enough to sit outside. I thought my visit was a little on the pricey side but I would probably go back. Friendly enough people.

Good burger. Super big large mc huge. That's the double okie burger in the picture. It was as big as my face. Also they get pretty busy and run out fast so get there early or call in advance. They may not pickup right away because they get so busy so just try to call a couple of times at least.

First, this place is CASH ONLY! Don’t be like us and get there on a time crunch only to realize this and have to hit the ATM. Also the parking lot could use some work, it is a bit small and worse for wear.

On to the important part. The smell alone is enough to make your mouth water. The service is friendly and the pricing is very reasonable.

The burgers are EXCELLENT. They are perfectly seasoned and cooked. The toppings are all very fresh. We went in the middle of their lunch rush so we did have to wait a bit, but it was 100% worth it. The fries were very good, but we usually prefer them a tad crispier.

Overall, if I were to give a cumulative score I think I’d give them 4.5/5, but since Google maps doesn’t have half scores, I could never bring myself to take a full star away over my very small nitpicks.

We will definitely go...

Very possibly the best hamburger in town I frequented Bill's years ago when I worked in the area. It was a pleasant surprise to see they are still open and very little has changed. Mostly call in orders the place is really small but makes the best plain old fashioned hamburger with fresh ingredients on a toasted bun. If you've never had one you shouldn't deprive your taste buds any longer.Give em a shout and 15 min later your taste buds will be partying and you'll think so THAT is what a burger is suppose to taste like. If your into the preppy gourmet burgers this ain't them and I've yet to have one better than a Bill's Jumbo with cheese. To get one takes a little planning I think they are open about 4 hrs a day 5 days a week for as long as I can...
