Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Tulsa

I live right near downtown Tulsa and I'll go out of my way to go to the Churches on East Tulsa, and here's why. Food was great, but last time I went, which was on 7/6/2025, my mom and I each placed a mobile order. We went through the drive-thru and this girl told me we needed to come inside to pick it up. My mom clarifies that it's a mobile order and not a doordash order and the girl working drive-thru says "yes ma'am" and nothing else. So we pull around and park and I go inside. They somehow knew that I was the one with the 2 mobile orders before I even said anything and I asked the girl why we can't pick up mobile orders through drive-thru, and this guy working the front register says that they've always done that, which is bs, we’ve gone through the drive-thru many times successfully and never had any issues, so he was straight up lying. He then proceeded to say that he didn't want us "running off with the order". He really said he didn't want me taking off with my own order. I tell him the same thing I told the girl, that it was a mobile order, not a doordash order. He tells me "it doesn't matter. I'm still gonna make you come in." I just take the orders and leave. Not an ounce of professionalism in that location, nor any respect. They're alienating a lot of people that can't walk that easily. I went inside to make sure my order was done correctly, so I thought. I ordered a15 piece specifically with legs and wings only! Then I ordered 1side okra, 1 side Macaroni, the lady said $30 something dollars. I knew something was wrong when my order came up so fast! But I paid and went to the car. My lil niece says how many biscuits did we get? I say look and see. Mind you she looked, not me, and said there are no biscuits. So I say no we need biscuits and I forgot the peppers! So I go back inside, and ask the lady did the 15 piece come with biscuits? No mamam it doesnt, so I say I need 6 biscuits and 3 pepers, they handed me a bag so fast it had to be already ready. I get home open the chicken box, there's 2 legs, 3 wings. Plenty thighs and breast! My heart sunk, the mom looks at the biscuits, and says what is this ish? The biscuits were burned, okra over cooked, and unwanted chicken. You expect that in the Drivethru. I'm very disappointed in Churches Chicken on Pine near Lewis! I'm here visiting from TX, my family and I love us some Churches. I did call the Manager, she was gonna give me money or more chicken but the morning I called was the same day the trash man came! We placed two online orders from work, totaling three meals. When I arrived to pick them up, the parking lot was nearly empty — only one car was there. I went through the drive-thru, but was told I needed to pull around and come inside to collect the order.

When I went in, I asked for extra ice in my sweet tea, only to be told there was no ice because the machine was down. I ended up stopping at a convenience store on the way back to work just to get ice.

Once back, we started unpacking everything. There was no silverware and none of the sauces we requested were included. One of my co-workers only had one meal on her ticket, but she didn’t receive her sides or her drink at all.

I tried calling the restaurant to let them know about the missing items, but it sounded like someone hung up on me. When I called back, it went to voicemail — which hadn’t even been set up.

As for the food itself — it was okay. The chicken had a noticeable taste of grease, not necessarily old, but like oil that had been used to cook a lot of different items.
