Main thing to know or expect is, yes, they make everything there, and everything was fantastic when we stopped in the other day for breakfast. Jessica gave great service and started by offering fresh squeezed OJ or name brand coffee. I looked at the menu just until I saw they had a meatless dish with hollandaise AND hash browns. Done. I go to restaurants for breakfast to get things I can't really easily cook at home, and if you don't have similar aspirations you should, I think, try harder bro. Don't offer me home fries and think you can call yourself a professional when I can do the same thing in 20 minutes with what's in my cabinets. D'Lite gets this and serves hash browns and hollandaise. If I made these at home they wouldn't be as good and I'd still be cleaning my kitchen amen. Scramble was great. Pancake was great- just the right amount of griddled on the outside. Now I know they haven't been open too long and some things may change or be works in progress The food is great and the prices are totally reasonable. No legit complaints. However. The decor is confusing. It's like the kitchen and the dining room are two different restaurants, and the exterior is just non existent, which might be just a result of the space it's in, however, they could really use a nice sign, and that sign should look like the kitchen, and it would definitely bring people in. Believe me, as a guy who used to pull off the road to eat a lot of late night food, a pretty sign is all it takes. Lastly, I know it says bakery on the sign but where are the bakery items? Easy ones like scones and blondies or hard ones like croissants, bagels, eclairs... none! Remember what I said about easy to make at home? Biscuits and dinner rolls don't count, bros. That's literally day one in pastry school. All in all D'Lite is better food than 90% of the breakfasts I've had in Tulsa and they deserve your business. I hope with some of the profits they build a sexy sign in the parking lot and replace the little pendant lights above the tables because...
Read moreIncredible service, incredible food, awesome vibe. The young hostess who greeted us and brought us our drinks was so sweet and bubbly. Our waitress Melissa, was attentive without being over the top about making sure we were okay (I like that). The food was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We ordered the D’lite Skillet and chose biscuits and gravy as our side. The biscuits were some of the freshest biscuits I’ve ever had. They were warm, fluffy and buttered to perfection. The skillet was delicious, the veggies were fresh and weren’t mushy like you often find in skillets. The orange juice was actually freshly squeezed, not like some that are advertised as such and then loaded with sugar. (It was so fresh and so good, it was work the $6 charge in my opinion since I assume they squeeze the oranges in house). There is a convenience fee charged at time of check out, which I’m okay with however, I suggest the owners of D’lite to reach out to their credit card processing company to ensure the convenience fee is in compliance with the card brands since I didn’t see any signage posted and, the verbiage on the receipt (I think) is also out of compliance. Overall, we enjoyed our experience, and love that there is a new breakfast spot close to home that blows the others in our area out of the park! We will...
Read moreD' Lite Scratch Kitchen is now operating in the old Denny's. They advertise as a "Scratch Kitchen." I believe they are too. Those weren't instant mashed potatoes on the plate and look and those big fluffy yeast dinner rolls. The restaurant has only been open a little over a month.
There are daily specials, and if the other daily specials are anything like the Thanksgiving Feast, that we had today, they are the meals to order. Described on the menu as “ROASTED TURKEY w/Choice of white, dark or mixed meat with cornbread dressing.” My wife and I had the special. My salad came out, and shortly thereafter the main meal started coming and kept coming. Moist tender turkey breast, on dressing covered in turkey gravy. I had house made mashed potatoes and the salad. My wife had corn and green beans. The meals came with warm soft delicious yeast rolls and even cranberry sauce. This was a gut busting, loosen your belt and go lay on the couch after dinner meal. $14.99 for a delicious fresh filling meal. There is a very good experienced cook in that kitchen. Try all the daily specials and report back!
The restaurant is roomy and very clean. We had excellent friendly service from Michelle (Thank...
