I can't say enough good things about Jay's! I've recommended this no-flare, hole-in-the-wall, hoagie shop to just about everyone I know and don't know. With fresh hoagie bread, meat sliced on-the-spot and delicious ingredients, this hoagie shop knocks majority of sandwich places out of the park. Also, Jay and his staff are really helpful offering suggestions when stuck. I typically order an 8" hoagie and it disappears within moments and I'm not left feeling bloated. I've tried half a dozen different sandwiches and would honestly recommend any of them, and as others noted, the sweet peppers are seriously delicious! Side note - every other Saturday Dr. Clyde is in the house offering humor and magic tricks to all that enter. So if you're looking for some time to kill and food to eat with the fam - this will surely be the place for you. Jay's Original Hoagies is a great business and if you're a sandwich junkie like myself - I wouldn't dare skip out. Even when I move, I will come back and support - thanks...

I was immediately greeted by an awesome lady named Aly. She talked me through the different options and asked what meats I liked. Then she says "I'll just make you a great sandwich." Obviously I defer to the professional and she didn't disappoint. She made me the Italian Special which comes with ham, salami, genoa and capicola. Best part of my sandwich were the homemade hot peppers. Absolutely amazing if your a fan of spice.
While making my sandwich the owner Jay came out and chatted with me and told a story on where the hoagie comes from. This was great to see. You don't meet many business owners who have Jays passion and enthusiasm while treating customers with incredible service.
This is a great family owned business with a special spin on sandwiches. I will definitely be back every time I come to Tulsa. Keep up the great work...
