A Meaty Masterpiece at Leon's Smoke Shack!
If you're in Tulsa and haven't been to Leon's Smoke Shack Barbeque, you're making a huge mistake. This isn't just a "hole in the wall", it's a culinary revelation disguised as an unassuming joint, and frankly, it's the best BBQ I've had in Oklahoma.
From the moment you walk in, the aroma alone tells you you're in for a treat. The air is thick with the scent of slow-smoked meats, a promise that Leon's delivers on with every single bite. I opted for the brisket plate, and let me tell you, it was a work of art. The brisket was incredibly tender, juicy, and boasted a perfect smoke ring, practically melting in my mouth. The smoky baked beans were the ideal complement to all that glorious meat, a perfect balance of sweet and savory that left me wanting more.
Beyond the fantastic food, the service was truly incredible. From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely welcomed. The staff was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Leon's Smoke Shack Barbeque proves that you don't need fancy decor or a pretentious atmosphere to serve up world-class BBQ. This place is all about the flavor, the craft, and the genuine love for good food. It's clear that Leon (or whoever's behind that smoker!) knows exactly what they're doing.
Do yourself a favor and seek out Leon's in Tulsa. It's a true hidden gem, and I'm already planning my next trip back to get another taste of that incredible brisket. Five stars aren't enough—this place...
Read moreThe picture of the “Slap Potato” has been haunting me since I first saw it in a review two years ago. I got sucked in! Not fighting it any longer. Today was the day to take on the behemoth. But, I brought help! My wife and I split a whole potato and only added one meat. The chopped brisket! I asked the waitress to please go light on the ranch dressing. I did not want to hide the taste of the beef. It is an uncomplicated meal. A large potato smashed flat, cheese, mound of chopped brisket; then the whole pile is covered in Leon’s BBQ sauce and striped with ranch dressing. The restaurant offers pickles, chopped green onions and jalapenos for garnishment. It was very good and the fabulous chopped brisket will have us coming back! Leon’s Smoke Shack is a small diner style restaurant, clean and nicely decorated with automotive décor. I think Leon might be a car enthusiast. The staff is over the top nice, which really rounds out the dining experience. We were so impressed with the food that we decided to try a pint of beans and potato salad to go. And, they were delicious. Take Note: Leon’s days of operation are...
Read moreSo to my surprise, today I got an email from UberEats about a $20 promotion for my first delivery order. Since I have not ordered through UberEats, though to take advantage of this promotion and Ribs is the first thing that came to my mind. If you follow my reviews, ribs and gyros are the top two items which I love to try from different restaurants and which i have reviewed the most lol.
I browsed through couple of options and found that I have not tried Leon Smoke Shack BBQ till now. Ordered the Mixed Rib Dinner from the menu where you get Ribs + Sliced Brisket(any meat) along with potato salad and beans(2 side items) and 2 sliced bread. It took 35 minutes for the order to arrive. But let me tell you, it was worth the wait. As you see in the photo, it was a lot of food where 2 people could easily eat. I was pretty much satisfied by the flavor on both ribs and sliced brisket. The hot sauce had a different kick into it. The meat was tender at the same time it was coming off the bones easily and not hard at all....
