Hello, food lovers! Welcome back to Jared Gleaton Eats. Today, we're exploring the culinary delights of Mahogany Prime Steakhouse in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Known for its sophisticated atmosphere and top-notch cuisine, Mahogany is a proud member of the Hal Smith Restaurant Group. This fine dining establishment sets the bar high, and we're here to see how it measures up against some of the best steakhouses across the nation. Upon stepping into Mahogany Prime Steakhouse, guests are immediately enveloped in an ambiance of elegance and modern charm. The entrance boasts a stunning see-through wine cellar that hints at the vast selection of wines available, setting the tone for a refined dining experience. The lighting is dim yet adequate, complementing the sophisticated atmosphere, and the gentle background music adds to the overall ambiance without overwhelming conversation. Service at Mahogany Prime Steakhouse is nothing short of exceptional. The staff exemplifies professionalism and genuine hospitality, making diners feel welcomed and valued. Our servers, Cody and Krista, provided an experience that was nearly Pièce de Résistance, delivering detailed descriptions of each dish with enthusiasm and knowledge. Their attention to detail and ability to anticipate our needs elevated our dining experience. Throughout the evening, we were visited by both the General Manager and Chef Remmy Martin, who ensured our satisfaction and offered insight into the restaurant's culinary philosophy. The staff's teamwork and commitment to excellence were evident, making our visit truly memorable. Mahogany Prime Steakhouse is renowned for its culinary offerings, and our meal showcased the exceptional quality and artistry the restaurant is known for. We began with warm, fresh dinner rolls that were delightfully fluffy, setting the stage for the courses to follow. Our appetizer selection included fresh East Coast oysters, which were a testament to the restaurant's commitment to sourcing premium ingredients. The standout starter, however, was the Maine Lobster Escargot, featuring succulent lobster drenched in bold garlic butter and Havarti cheese--a dish that was as rich and flavorful as it was innovative. Our salad course consisted of two distinct offerings: the Roasted Beet Salad, which provided earthy flavors balanced by the sweetness of the beets, and the house salad, which struck a harmonious balance between sweet and salty elements. Both salads were thoughtfully prepared, highlighting fresh, quality ingredients. For the main course, we indulged in a perfectly cooked Kansas City steak, accompanied by King Crab and bearnaise sauce. The steak was expertly seared, achieving a beautiful crust while maintaining a tender and juicy interior. The combination of flavors from the crab and sauce enhanced the steak, creating a luxurious dining experience. We also enjoyed a side of Brussels sprouts, which, while deliciously caramelized, leaned a bit sweet due to the molasses glaze. The sautéed corn, on the other hand, offered a delightful contrast with its savory and buttery profile. Our meal concluded with a selection of desserts that were as impressive as the preceding courses. The crème brûlée cheesecake was well-balanced, offering the perfect level of sweetness without being overwhelming, while the flourless chocolate cake was rich and indulgent, providing a satisfying end to our dining experience. The drinks, particularly the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie concoction, were equally impressive, showcasing the restaurant's creativity and attention to detail. Mahogany Prime Steakhouse delivers an outstanding fine dining experience, combining an elegant atmosphere, exceptional service, and remarkable cuisine. It stands as a must-visit destination for those seeking a top-tier steakhouse in Tulsa. Until next time, friends, let's eat!

Read moreThis is truly a five-star experience. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, the staff went above and beyond with their hospitality. The establishment is incredibly professional. We had a reservation for our wedding anniversary and were seated promptly. We never had to ask for a water refill (never even had to THINK about a refill) because someone was always there to take care of every need before we even knew we needed it. We started off with two cocktails, a watermelon and an orangecicle, which were both perfectly balanced. The cocktails were also priced very fairly, compared to other restaurants in the area. Next we tried the lobster cargot and dynamite shrimp. Both were heavenly, but the lobster cargot really blew us away. If it was the ONLY item on the menu, this would still easily be our favorite restaurant. Next, my husband and I shared the surf and turf trio (I don’t remember the official name of the order, something-trio) in which we got medium rare filet mignon, lobster, and crab. The chefs kindly prepared our order on two plates. When the food was brought out, two staff members waited with pen lights while we cut into our filets ensure they were prepared correctly. Everything was delicious, but again, the lobster was better than anything I’ve ever tasted. Melted butter was placed on the table, but the lobster was prepared so perfectly that butter wasn’t even needed. Complete perfection. We cannot wait to return for the lobster. We NEVER order dessert anywhere. But after our experience with the rest of the food, we knew we had to try it here. It was especially convincing when our waitress explained each item in detail. We ordered a cheesecake item that was not featured on the menu. It was coated in sugar and torched. It was paired with chocolate, cream and berries. It was absolutely incredible. I’m thinking about ordering it for pickup, as I’m writing this review… before we left, the executive manager came around and introduced herself. She came back shortly after and gifted us a small box of locally made chocolate (Glacier) which was also very delicious. All of the staff was gracious and kind. From start to finish, this was a perfect experience and I highly recommend this establishment to...
Read moreThis was a very nice establishment. I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and the service from everyone (even a young lady who had no connection to our party who walked to the restrooms location when I asked). We had our office Christmas party here. I liked how the food wasn't just brought out as quick as possible to get you in and out ASAP. Everything was well paced. We had two servers, a man and a woman (Kristen.. maybe?) Both were great at explaining the menu and answering questions. The food was delicious, however all of the steaks were cooked improperly. Two wagyu steaks (asked for med fare came out rare, asked for med came out med well, close to well) and a ribeye (asked for med and came out med well) came out improperly cooked. We were asked to check the temp upon delivery, but we felt we had already been there two hours and did not want to waste more time on remakes. Kristen was great and asked my side of the table what we wanted boxed for leftovers. However the other side of the table was upset because the male server took our extras and tossed them without asking. When we brought it up he just said "well no one asked me to box them up but I can remake some for you to take home". Again, we didn't want to wait to have food remade. Overall, the atmosphere, service, and food was great. I will say though, that as a chef myself, I felt the wagyu was "okay" and that a the ribeye my husband had was pretty close on flavor/marbling/delicious juiciness.. ...
