Best Mushroom Soup in Tulsa. Too bad you can't order a glass of red wine with it. I was told by the manager, they do not trust their cashiers to ring up a glass of wine so that someone of age can bring it out to you. You have to pay for your food at one register and then go to the bar to order the wine. I went to the bar, it looked like it was the ad-hoc bus boy station. Nasty half eaten food all over it. No customers sitting at the bar and no bartender. After 3 minutes, I grabbed an older male employee walking by and asked if I could grab a glass of wine. He spent another 5 minutes trying to open a bottle. A co-worker came by and made fun of him but offered no help. At this time, I decided that the wine was not worth it. I told them to forget it. I went back to join my friend. Her sandwich was delivered. I asked where my bowl of soup was. The food runner said, it had not come up yet?! I ordered before my friend...it is soup...its been nearly 10 min. It finally comes out and it had clearly been sitting somewhere...it had that top player that was coagulated. To add insult to injury, the manager came to visit the table, I thought she was going to apologize for the wine fiasco or the nasty dirty bar I was sent to to order a drink.... nope, I was being scolded for being frustrated with their staff and system, I was scolded for saying, "You know what, forget the damn wine, just forget it...my friend is over there waiting..." I will still stand by the mushroom soup but I will never order a glass of wine there again. I bet the profit margin is WAY higher on that glass of wine.

Read moreGod bless Meddy’s! I ate there three days in a row during their grand opening event. Thursday evening a friend and I enjoyed the Salmon Big Bowl, Chicken Sharma, and Baba Ghanoush. Friday for lunch I devoured the Grilled Citrus Salmon. And a day later, I feasted on Meddy’s Main Plate with lamb and a side of super fresh hummus. I meant to get a picture of the Main Plate, but was too excited and forgot, so I provided a picture of my “happy plate” instead ;)
This restaurant is a fast casual dining style with a high end vibe. It is beautifully designed with an exquisite interior and relaxing well-heated back patio that overlooks a courtyard within the shopping center.
All of the staff were very polite and helpful. I’d like to give shout-outs Kendall and Mia who were doing a great job quickly placing orders for a long line of happy guests, and also Luis and the other back patio staff who brought our food and took care of our needs.
(Note about the pic: The sun was very bright that day and I don’t normally appear quite so pink… or at least I don’t think I do! I even used a ‘warm’ filter to even out my salmonesque skin tone, but alas technology can only do so much. And what the heck happened to my eyebrows?!? They disappeared!)
I digress…. just know that Meddy’s = Great Mediterranean food in a pleasant atmosphere at a very reasonable...
Read moreIf we could give Meddys more than five stars, we absolutely would! This place is hands down one of our all-time favorite restaurants—we eat here almost every week, and it never disappoints. We were SO excited when they finally came to Oklahoma. We’ve been big fans of their Wichita locations.
Everything on the menu is fresh, flavorful, and simply delicious. The garlic potatoes? Absolutely out of this world. Perfectly crispy on the outside, melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside, and packed with so much garlicky goodness that we dream about them between visits. The lamb is spectacular—perfectly seasoned, juicy, and bursting with flavor. And the chicken and salmon? Sublime. Every bite is tender and full of Mediterranean spices that keep us coming back for more.
One of our favorite insider tips: double your protein portion for just a few dollars more. Trust us, it’s worth it! Whether you’re indulging in the lamb, chicken, or beef, the extra protein takes an already incredible meal to the next level.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff is always friendly and efficient. Meddys is the kind of place that makes you feel like family. If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and go—you’ll be hooked just...
