Umberto's — Restaurant in Tulsa

I had such high Hope's for this place since I moved here everyone has told me to try Umbertos. So heres my experience, called to place an order for an XL pizza with mushrooms, black olives, and extra cheese. And a 20oz dr pepper. I was quoted a delivery time of 30 to 35 minutes. An hour goes by I call to check my order and without giving my address or info I'm told "he will be there any minute". 45 minutes later I call again, im informed that a delivery driver refused my order and a different driver was on the way? How bizarre. My order arrives almost 2 hours after ordering. At first glance the pizza looks good but as I expected the pizza was cold and surprisingly very very watery. Like a mouth full of luke warm watery pizza.. I do not understand why my pizza is dripping in water, not grease, but actual water. So I decide to try it and now I see why. The mushrooms are canned mushrooms, not fresh. Therefore my pizza is soaking wet and soggy. So much so that the bottom of the pizza box is wet, soaking through. The 20 oz. Dr pepper I order is actually a 16oz, and because of the wait time its room temperature. Not cold. For a 30$ pizza order... I'm disgusted by this place, the staff, delivery, and most importantly the food.

Wont be doing business with this place again.

If I could rate it 1/2 star I would. Looking around for a place to order from, I found Umberto's. The prices are posted online on their menu. I ordered, not being given a total on the phone. I went in and it was $2.85 more based on menus hanging in there. I questioned why & was simply told "Everything's higher now. I told the manager to fix it last week." I felt I should pay the lower online price, he was not budging. After I agreed to the higher price & told the amount, the price had risen yet Again with NO explanation when handed my receipt to sign. On top of all of that, my food was burnt. Being very hungry, I ate a few bites only. I still have a charcoal taste in my mouth. My suggestion, find another place to eat. Made up prices & burned food are NOT GOOD!

I truly love their calzones. I have frequented this establishment for years. But the older African man is very rude.

I literally just got off of the phone with the man trying to place a to-go order. Before I placed my order, I asked if they could take card payments over the phone, it took him over 5 minutes to even say anything back to me.

So I tried to help him with it (because I’ve used the system they have before and I know what it looks like by being inside often)

He told me to call back in 15-20 minutes and place the order again (but that doesn’t work for me because someone was out to pick it up for me) and then because of how rude he was, I told him I don’t even really want it anymore and he just straight hung up on me.

Very rude, very bad service and I NEVER write reviews but I had to on this one.

UMBERTOS, PLEASE get someone else to answer the phone and never have that man answer the phone again. He’s too rude to do so...
