Velvet Taco — Restaurant in Tulsa

The food was AWESOME! First visit & looking forward to returning for trying other tacos! Me & my lunch partner had the combo meal- 2 tacos, a side & fountain beverage/bottled water for just under $15 each. Think the price is high for a couple of tacos? The meal was worth every penny!

The brisket taco came on a cheese crusted flour tortilla & OMG, it was so yummy! Brisket was flavorful, the goodies on top only added to the awesomeness! Loved the spiciness too

The fried cauliflower taco was tasty too, but didn't care for the hint of sweetness in it. Also, I expected grilled fried instead deep fried cauliflower, but I didn't ask about it before ordering.

Loved trying new flavors!!!!

My lunch partner had the grilled steak tacos with deep fried onion strings on top. Looked & lunch partner confirmed they were delicious.

Vegetarian options are available

Only chips available are blue corn chips. While they taste similar to white chips, I would rather have the option for white tortilla chips, but it is my personal preference & nothing wrong with their choice

The seating is limited (formerly a long john silvers). Both long, tall tables with bar stools & metal backed chairs were available, as well as a few smaller tables along the walls. Also, they have outdoor seating available.

As far as service, payment when ordering is done at the counter & self picked up when ready. Really, there is no service to critique.

Bathroom was clean.

Parking is somewhat limited in busy times

Negative - (reason for 4 stars instead of 5) the noise level. 4 other small groups were dining at the same time & the noise was very loud for the small space. I essentially yelled my conversation until 2 out of 4 groups left. Maybe turning the music down during busier times would help

So I've been to velvet taco a hundred times. I absolutely love this place but today.... today I was totally disappointed. Never have I ever had a bad thing to say about this place. I was soooo excited to try the barria taco! I went today for lunch...I was so sad. Never have I seen a worse put together taco by them. I got an email earlier this week about this taco added to the menu and this is my most favorite taco ever! I'm like I gotta see if it's comparison to don justo... well it wasn't. My one taco came in two separate tacos and didn't look like the picture in the email I got AT ALL! The onions were piled on the OUTSIDE of the TACOS. CUZ THERE WERE 2. It didn't come with but a couple pieces of cilantro and 2tsps of consume that was cold. The only thing on the taco was a few pieces of meat and queso. None of the other cheese. The onions were on the OUTSIDE of the tacos. Barely any meat and flimsy tortilla shells. I was SO DISAPPOINTED. FIRST TIME I'VE EVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED When I ate here. It tasted good but there was floppy tortilla with minimal meat and cheese to do in the consume I had to tip the bowl to the side to even get any cuz they was so little of it. This is now on the menu so I really hope yall do better with this item because I'll never order this again. I'll keep coming because I'll order other things I love so much but I won't order that again. Ps I just got a response saying they are glad they took care of me .... YALL DID NOT TAKE CARE OF ME. WORSE TACO I HAVE HAD AND DO NOT RECOMMEND AND PISSED I PAID 6 BUCKS...

Terrible customer service our order was completely incorrect. We ended up paying 27 dollars for 4 tacos .No sides no drinks.None of which we were able eat do a food allergy my wife is allergic to onion .We requested lime and cilantro with our tacos which we did not receive.The manager that answered the phone was extremely condescending and unprofessional showing a genuine lack of concern for customer satisfaction and blatant disregard for customer appreciation.This place is located in an area where drug addicts and homeless are walking the parking lot begging for change.To top it off the manager asked for our name and email address and phone number and within ten minutes of hanging up we began receiving extremely solliticitive spam calls .We have never received calls like this prior to lodging a complaint and I have my suspicions But I dont know for sure if the manager is responsible or if it was some kind of sick joke or revenge prank but our number is protected by spam protection now and the specialist said that someone had put our name and number online and agreed to be contacted.We own an information/ technology consultation firm and would never agree to any form of 3rd party solicitations.beware of this establishment do not share any personal...
