I usually enjoy eating here and still do, however there was a very rude woman at the drive thru today. I gave my order and instead of repeating it back asked "Is that all you want!?" In a very rude tone...I said yes, and drove around to the window. At the window she handed me my receipt then went to fetch my meals. I looked over the receipt because I was worried that since she had not repeated my order back to me she may have made a mistake.
When she came back with my food I proceeded to ask her about if she had heard me or not and she repeated most of my order and then said she knew I had also ordered another tender meal but that she couldn't remember it all. This I would not have minded except that she half yelled at me and was quite rude. I said, "Oh well I just wanted to make sure you heard all of my order, thank you." She then slammed the window closed and walked off. I of course pulled up and checked my order before driving off. I thought about going in and demanding my money back but seeing as she got the order right I let it slide, especially since I do enjoy your food normally. I do however request that you train your staff to be a little bit kinder to the customer.
I'll just chalk this up to her having a bad day but please next time be a bit nicer...I has feelings too ya know :( Anyways I will go back but if I have another experience like this it will be...
Read moreLet me start this by saying I don't give 5 star ratings easily. Everything has to hit its mark to get that rating. My husband and I got bone in fried chicken. He got spicy and I got original. We enjoyed it more than Gus's if you know you know. Gus's is amazing but it verges on almost too spicy for me. So Connies was perfection to me with the original recipe. My husband loves spicy food so he did say that Connies spicy chicken isn't as spicy as Gus's. The fried chicken here at Connies was juicy, flavorful, and the skin was fried to perfection. For sides we got mac n cheese, mashed potatoes w gravy, green beans. The meal came with rolls that looked homemade and were every bit of perfection. I was almost disappointed with the mashed potatoes bc it was served with white gravy but it highly exceeded my expectations. We got a dozen of the blueberry donuts bc I had tried them at work when a vendor brought us donuts. Donuts are available until they sell out so keep that in mind. I will say the donuts are probably best first thing in the morning when they're warm 🤤 throw in some milk and be ready to pass out. Comforting southern food...
Read moreI used to be a loyal patron of Connie’s Fried Chicken in Tupelo, MS. However, the recent changes have left me deeply disappointed. The decision to remove Mountain Dew from the menu was a significant letdown, and it seems that the customer service has taken a nosedive since the ownership transition.
On multiple occasions, my orders were botched – missing sides, stale rolls, and even forgotten sauces. The staff appeared untrained in handling drive offs and refunds, leading to frustrating and prolonged waiting times, especially in the drive-thru.
Management's excuses about supply chain issues were repetitive and lackluster. Even the attempt at compensation with a gift card couldn't make up for the consistent customer service, quality, consistency, and fiscal mishaps.
Connie’s used to represent consistency, friendly service, and quality food, but sadly, it’s now a series of letdowns and excuses. I’d hoped for improvement after talking with Alan the General Manager but, alas, it seems it’s time to bid farewell to a family wide once-beloved establishment.
I hope for improvement in the future...
