Manhattan Deli & Grill — Restaurant in Tupelo

One of my employees told me about them and raved about their philly steak sandwich. I ordered lunch for my team at work. They are very busy so nobody would answer the phone despite calling 5 times. Sent one of my guys to the store to order for the team. When the food arrived I was charged for everything but was shorted one sandwich and two orders of fries. I fed my team but this left me with no lunch. I have tried calling them about this but nobody will answer the phone. My team said the food was very good but the onion rings were either over cooked or were cooked in old grease also they are not fresh but rather are frozen, just fyi. I am not worried about the money for the missing food, I just wanted to contact the owner or manager to make them aware that they need to work on verifying their to go orders are correct as it really stunk not eating lunch today so my team could all be taken care of. As stated I do not want a refund for missing food I just wanted to let the owner know of the issue and that I will not be frequenting their establishment in the future and will not be giving them good reviews with anyone. I typically purchase lunch for my team several times a week and there are hundreds of restaurants in Tupelo that actually check your to go order to verify accuracy. As a matter of fact over the past 8 months this is the only restaurant that has not gotten our order right. I’m from New York City and I haven’t found a deli that even comes close to comparing to how they do it in NY, but Manhattan deli here in Tupelo is as legit as it gets. The boars head cold cuts, the fresh bread, even the way they have the food behind the glass laid out - it’s all done to perfection, and the best part is the family that runs the store, some of the best customer service. The brothers had a smile on their face from the moment we walked in, til the minute we left, which was 20 minutes after closing. I finally tried this place out. I waited too long I think. The Philly Cheesesteak is so good. The steak is chopped nicely. It comes with peppers, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, and your choice of cheese. It was very fresh tasting. The bread was toasted nicely. I had mine on the hero. The place is extremely clean. The staff are friendly. My only complaint, which is just a matter of preference is the lack of seating. I was truly hoping this would be a place I could go early in the morning and sit down over breakfast and coffee. I hope they find a way to add some seating in the future. I will definitely be back.
