Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Tupelo

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The behavior of the employees at this Dairy Queen was absolutely disgusting. I came in to eat ice cream inside—a full two hours before closing—and had only been sitting for about 15 minutes when one of the workers came over and rudely demanded we leave. She snapped, “It’s been 20 minutes, y’all gotta go,” which, might I add, was not even true. No one was being loud or disruptive, and we had both been respectful and polite when ordering. I actually cannot believe we were kicked out two hours before they even close because “we had been there too long.” Insane.

What makes it worse is that this same employee has always been rude every time I’ve come in. She’s consistently unfriendly and has a clear lack of respect. There was no explanation, no professionalism—just unnecessary hostility. And to top it all off, the other employees laughed as we walked out. Truly disgusting behavior.

There’s even a sign posted inside that says they’re supposed to “serve it with a smile.” What a joke. The staff at this location couldn’t be further from that standard. Pulled into the drive through about 10 minutes before they closed. Just wanted some ice cream and they were the only place still open. When I asked for a second to figure what to get as I had never been before the woman on the speaker was very snippy. When I ordered brownie blizzard and tried to order some type of raspberry chocolate blizzard she snapped through the speaker that no one knew how to make that. When I said just give us 3 Oreo blizzards there was silence. After about 2 minutes I said that was all and she was very upset that I canceled the brownie one and just wanted the 3 Oreos. When we got to the window my friend realized she was the manager. The woman said all her people who make blizzards left about 10 minutes before we got there. My recent message to them: Today your DQ was awful. The floors were greasy. The seats nasty, we had to go get cleaning wipes from the car to clean your seats and tables. No diet soda what so ever. I ate my food and started typing this email and my wife and kids just now got their food. Very unclean, too many kids working and no mature managers. Not one apology for being late with the food, nothing. Bathroom was nasty, toilet paper dispenser was hanging open. Said they couldn't take credit cards to us but next family ran their credit card. Waited 15 minutes for ice crram, and you wasn't busy at all. I will share this on every review site I can. We will not return again to this location, and I know several others today who will not be returning either.
