El Asadero Taco Shop — Restaurant in Turlock

BEWARE! I have been going to this restaurant for 25 years! It’s been one of my favorites in town. Until this morning. I went in with my children boy 2 girl 5. We were sitting down and my kids just got their food and my little girl had to use the restroom. It’s in eye sight and a one person facility so I let her go by herself, once she walked in no more than 5 seconds later one of the male employees tried to follow her in. So I yelled at him and startled him and he then went into the empty males restroom. Once my daughter was out I grabbed both of my kids and went to the front and the guy at the register said it’s no big deal there was no one in there. I told him my daughter was and he shrugged his shoulders and so I then asked for the owner he was not there until I notified patrons walking in of the situation. Then the owner came out and tried to give me every excuse in the book as to justify the situation.(that’s utility closet etc) It was truly a disgusting situation and how they all stonewalled and played dumb and tried to act like their coworkers actions were completely normal is even more disturbing. The food is always fresh and made to order; the place is always fairly busy (which I consider to be a sign of overall customer satisfaction); and the service is always efficient. My favorite food there is the 6 rolled chicken tacos, which comes topped with fresh shredded lettuce, creamy guacamole, tomatoes (which are my enemy lol, so I pass on those :P ), and shredded cheese. They also have a handful of salsas to accompany your food, as well as pickled carrots, jalapeños, and chopped onions at their little salsa bar.

Random note: sometimes the guys on the line sing along with the music they're listening to, and it really just feeds into the friendly and positive atmosphere of this little...

El Asadero Taco Shop is my favorite place to eat in Turlock. It's not very often I find a mexican restaurant that is consistent with their food and service, but this place is always a crowd pleaser with my family. The food is ALWAYS delicious and the service is 100% top tier. I appreciate that the staff is friendly it makes the establishment welcoming. My favourites are their rolled tacos special, carnitas plate w/ tortillas.
