Waffle House — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

Came in on a Sunday morning and it was busy (which was expected). They asked how many people I had and I said 2 and they waved me over to a table and started to clean it. When the table was clean they gestured to it for me and my mother to sit down and proceeded to take our orders. After we had placed our orders, already had our drinks, and had been sitting for a couple minutes the employee that supposedly seats everyone (who also seated us) told us that there were people waiting before us and so they asked us to get up. I said in a completely respectful way that that was not the right thing to do and you cant just sit us and then ask us to get up because you made a mistake. So he then called me a liar and said that I seated myself. I said no you sat me and my mother yourself and he denied it and continued to get hostile. So I said well what do you want us to do and he said get up and wait your turn. So I said thats alright, I think we'll just go somewhere else. At which point he rolled his eyes and said a very sarcastic and exaggerated sorrrrrrrr-y. We left. Not coming back. Absolutely disgusted that not only would someone speak to me in that way but also speak that way to my mother. Wish I had gotten the guy's name - although if I did and complained he likely would've just called me a liar again. There's two other waffle houses in the area - don't...

This place is horrible!!I have been driving on the road for hours and I stopped in to order some food here and I was going to sit down and order but we had to wait on two tables to be cleaned they have like eight people working.What made me upset is when I sat down to wait on the table one of the workers behind the counter was banging plates so loud over and over like he was doing it on purpose it was very rude.If someone has a disability that could have seizures with that loud noise because it hurt my head so bad I had to get my husband to order our food and I walked out.Then they messed up our order.I didn’t want to complain about it but it’s something I can’t eat that they put in my food.I didn’t want to tell them because I felt like they would mess with my food if I complained about it.I wouldn’t go here.The owners need to check in on there business to see how it’s being ran that’s all I got to say.We are also business owners and I will make sure to tell our travelers to not eat here when they drive threw.They drive threw allot.You never know who people know that’s all...

Real bad experience at that WH, no 1, I was sitting outside for over an hr waiting to go inside. Had no idea that they didn't open until 7:am. No problem. After they opened up at 7 I went inside, went to the John wash my hands. Of course there were 4 people ahead of me at that point, again no problem. I sat down waited for someone to come no one came. I was informed they only had 1 server... no problem. By now the place is getting filled up. So I'm still sitting waiting, I asked this one guy if I could get a decaf coffee until they got it together. By now the place is packed. OK they have several servers now ok. So I'm seeing orders being taken for people that want there good to go. 25 minutes with me sitting waiting to be served a server finally came over and took my order. I'm sitting watching all of these people that come in after I come, in mind you now I was the 5 th person to come through the door upon opening at 7am.. they are getting there food. Me no food.
