I live in Corona Del Mar, CA, but my home EōS Fitness is actually in Las Vegas since I’m there about two weeks out of the month. I first stumbled upon EōS because I’m an Equinox member and they don’t have locations in Vegas. I have to say—EōS truly impressed me. Their model is immaculate, and while they’re not positioned as a luxury gym, they absolutely give most gyms a run for their money by staying in their lane and excelling at it.
I have a background in health and fitness, having worked as a front desk supervisor at LA Fitness, Orangetheory, Crunch Fitness, and BoxHaus in Newport Beach. So I know firsthand how challenging it can be to run the front, manage operations, and balance customer expectations with behind-the-scenes tasks. That perspective makes me appreciate EōS even more.
I love that EōS offers different membership levels and benefits, including towel service, nationwide access, and extra amenities. Parking is another huge win—they have one of the best validation systems I’ve seen. Living in Newport Beach where parking garages are the norm, I really value how easy EōS makes it to park and validate without stress.
This review is focused on the Santa Ana location (on Tustin), which is the closest to me. Their setup is great: the recovery room with massage chairs is honestly the best I’ve ever experienced—they dig into knots and muscles I didn’t even know were tight. Other locations I’ve visited offer things like cold plunges, outdoor yards, boxing bags, cryo chairs, and even BBL rooms, depending on the state. I wish there was one closer to Newport, but the Santa Ana location is still worth the drive, especially with their hours.
The staff here has been consistently helpful when I’ve had questions, and overall, I’ve always heard great things about EōS since moving to the West Coast. That said, a few things could be improved: • The women’s locker room gets extremely hot—so much so that it takes me 30 minutes to cool down. This could be a potential health risk and definitely needs attention. • At times, the women’s restroom has run out of toilet paper, and I’ve left without seeing anyone at the desk to validate parking. I know employees juggle multiple tasks, especially overnight, but perhaps adding a second team member for coverage would help. • Several times, I’ve noticed the cinema room lacking paper towels or spray, which could be resolved with more frequent walk-throughs in common areas. • Unlike other gyms I’ve been part of, EōS doesn’t allow members to use the group fitness room when classes aren’t scheduled. While I understand this may be to keep things tidy or due to past misuse, it does limit flexibility.
Even with these points, EōS Santa Ana still earns five stars from me. No gym is 100% perfect, but EōS consistently delivers value, amenities, and a strong model that makes me choose them again and again. From Las Vegas to Southern California, they’ve proven to be a brand...
Read moreDon’t get fooled by the 7 day trial button on their website, had a terrible experience today after showing up for my first day. The gym is overall nice kept tidy, good working and plenty machines, its big and includes nice amenities like showers, pool, sauna and a cardio cinema and has plenty of parking in the parking structure just behind it. I had an appointment scheduled for 8:30pm came in and they told me to wait to have someone assist me after 15 mins one of the young ladies told me to leave my ID and I could go workout if I intended to do so, quite honestly I was already a bit irritated because my time for myself is very limited and they had already made me lose 15mins waiting for no reason no one even gave me a tour but cool I came in did my workout and when I was came back and asked for my ID since I was already late to pickup my son from his wrestling class this guy William tells me to sit down and he has a good and a bad news for me which one do I want to hear? (Ugh I don’t have time for this man.) I told him whichever it doesn’t matter. He said the bad news is you already worked out so you shouldn’t have access to these amazing deals that we have the good news is we’re going to honor them if you sign up today. Hmmm 🤔 The thing is I have no problem signing up at this point the bad thing is now I feel like you’re deceiving me and just baited to come in here to force me to sign up. The guy then proceeds to ask what’s holding me back from signing up, quite honestly the sales tactic but what’s making me more irritated at this point is the fact that he’s trying to psychoanalyze me, I was there for a workout not for therapy. I told him listen man I don’t have time for this I have to go, there’s nothing holding me back I’m going to take my 7day trial then sign up regardless of what the prices are at that point. He said again but what’s holding you back from signing up now? I want the 7 day trial I was promised that’s all he said well I’m not going to activate it if you don’t have time to go through this. I said fine and asked him for my ID which he was still holding on to. I asked once more so you’re not going to give me the 7 day trial that you guys are offering online he said I’m going to leave my notes, in other words no. I asked him to speak to his supervisor but the supervisor was too busy talking to some other people and I was already late. I took my...
Read moreI just remembered this place, and can’t believe I never let y’all know my experience. I got a membership in 2020, and it was the worst decision I ever made. This gym is the reason why I have never joined a gym since, and never will again. I was so hopeful at first- I got a personal trainer because I was worried about using the machines incorrectly and getting hurt. They also advertised a food plan. The trainer only corrected my form if I told her I was in pain.. if I stayed quiet, so did she. No form correction or reassurance that I was doing it correctly, even though that’s specifically what I asked for. When I asked multiple times about a food program, she said “send me a list of what you eat”, which is not really viable as my food range is large and I don’t eat the same things all the time. Can you tell me how many calories I should shoot for, what general kind of foods I should go for or avoid, etc.? I asked probably 5 or 6 separate occurrences about a food plan- nothing. News flash folks: when you work out, you get more hungry! So I ended up gaining weight instead of losing it. This wasn’t working for me, so I decided to cancel. They said I can’t do that without a doctor’s note.. so I got one! I’ve always had an issue with my ankle anyways, so no problem. I send the doctor’s note. No reply. I get charged the following month. I call, “hey I emailed you the doctor’s note, my membership should be cancelled.” “Oh, my bad. That person was fired. Send it to this person” okay.. I send the doctor’s note to that person. LATHER, RINSE, REPEAT. They kept “firing” the people I sent the doctor’s note to, and I continued to get charged for many, many months after! The final straw was when I was in another state, and they left me with $20 to get home after charging my account, yet again. I had to threaten to contact my lawyer before they finally, FINALLY canceled my account. So good riddance, I have told many of my friends and colleagues to never ever go...
