One of my coworkers told me that this place had good teriyaki bowls, and he was correct. Since then, I've been here about several times, but today something happen that makes me not want to come back again. I bought a teriyaki bowl for myself, and one for my coworker, the one that originally introduced me to the place. I paid for the food, and waited. The lady who I think is the owner said my order was ready, so I walked up to the counter to get our food. She put our bowls in a bag and tied the top and handed the bag to me. I asked her for soy sauce, and she told me there was teriyaki and hot sauce in the bag already. I told her again that I wanted soysauce too. She handed me 3 packets. I told her I'd like 6 packets, 3 for me, and 3 for my friend. She told me 3 was enough. I looked at her, shocked. I told her again that I wanted 6 packets, 3 for me and 3 for my friend. She gave me a look as if I was asking her for all the money in the cash register, and then she handed me 2 more, for a total of 5 packets. Are you serious lady!? She lost my business, and anyone else's that I would have recommended the place to, over packets of soy sauce? Ridiculous! They were never very friendly, especially her. If you want a good teriyaki bowl this place has it, but the customer service, is horrible; however, I guess their soysauce is premium, and the best in the land, because they sure do...
Read morePreviously i had given them 5 stars. I had to change my review today. For years our family has enjoyed the delicious food and friendly environment of Yogis. Today I stopped by for lunch and ordered my usual small chicken veggie bowl. I was SO absolutely disappointed in the quality, service and environment of the restaurant. Apparently they are under new ownership and everything has changed, for the worst! The chicken was dry and burnt. I got 3 carrot slices, 2 small broccoli pieces and mostly hard, undercooked cabbage as the "veggie" part. Before leaving with my take-out order I asked for some extra yogi sauce (teriyaki) and was told I'd have to pay for it. That was never the case before. But the chicken was never horrible like this either. The restaurant used to feel cozy and friendly. Now, it's just like any other fast-food place in town. Oh, and the price has increased as well. I used to pay $6.89 for the bowl. Today it was over $10. Honestly, I'm not as put off by the price as I am the quality of the food. Why pay more for bad food? Oh, and did I mention the portion size is much smaller too? Frankly Yoshinoya is better than Yogis now, and that's...
Read moreWow! I'm so glad I discovered this gem because of how lovely it is.
The food itself is very cheap and there's quite a variety of entrees to choose from. I decided to go for their chicken teriyaki bowl because I wanted to try out their teriyaki food. I mean, teriyaki is in the name of their shop so it could be good, right??
To be fair, you do get what you pay for. I donât think that this is the most spectacular place for teriyaki bowls but it was worth the $5.49 that I paid for a small bowl and I was certainly full after that. You do get to add vegetables for $1 if youâre interested.
On my next visit, Iâd love to try their udon noodles since they do offer that here. I think that there is definitely value in what youâre paying for and can tell that it is quite a popular option for many employees as it was busy during my visit. I think that it is a family owned restaurant because there was an older Asian woman working as the cashier and an older gentleman bussing and waiting on tables. Definitely will return to...
