A small, unassuming Thai restaurant in a seemingly random spot of downtown Twin Falls with solid food and great service. I was driving through town with my parents, and we were really craving some Thai food. The middle of Idaho may not be the first place I would think to find amazing Southeast Asian cuisine, but Jasmine Thai definitely delivered. We arrived at an off-hour (around 5 PM on a weekday), so we were one of only two parties at the restaurant. We were seated immediately, and the staff was incredibly attentive and kind.
We started off our meal with a delicious papaya salad, which will forever be one of my favorites, and they were incredibly helpful and accommodating of my peanut allergy. We then each ordered an entree and split the three amongst us -- we tried out the ginger and mushroom with shrimp, broccoli oyster sauce with the seafood combo, and sweet and sour with beef. I wasn't able to eat the beef dish, but I thoroughly enjoyed both seafood dishes! The incredible aroma of ginger came through really strongly in the mushroom and ginger stir-fry, and you can never go wrong with broccoli and oyster sauce. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, maintaining a bit of their crunch while still soaking up the super flavorful stir-fry sauces. The staff was also incredibly kind. The chef herself came out a few times to check on us and chat with us (and to personally confirm my dietary restrictions), which I really appreciated. Definitely give this spot a try if you're going...
Read moreHow does this place have so many good reviews? Very disappointed. Would give zero stars if I could. We read the reviews and decided to stop by here and it was horrible. It is NOT authentic. Food tasted like it was frozen and deep fried. We got the sampler, orange chicken, and stir fry with beef. Payed $40 for everything. It literally tastes like China buffet on a menu. The sampler itself was $15 and we were expecting something authentic and it literally looks like store bought frozen spring rolls and shrimp tempura. Waste of hard earned money for food that was probably frozen in a box and then cooked for us. Please do NOT go here if you are expecting good authentic quality food. The only good feedback I could give is that it was generally pretty clean as I looked around and the staff was friendly. FOOD IS HORRIBLE. I feel like way too many restaurants today take advantage of Americans because we are seen as “junk food eaters” so they just serve unauthentic food to us while claiming it is authentic, yet they would NEVER make that at home for themselves....
Read moreI absolutely love this place. Their food was extremely delicious. I ordered a tum yum tofu soup with stir fried veggie rice and my partner enjoyed his chicken pad Thai and the orange chicken with a side of white rice. We are new in town and we will definitely be coming back.
UPDATE:
Some of their stir fried noodles consist of a large amount of sugar. I was so disappointed to order a flat noodle stir fry which was overwhelming sweet. I was so hungry that I had no choice then to eat the entire thing. I thought hey maybe it was just me right? Wrong I came back again and I ordered a chow men tofu. Thinking that it was going to be super good. WRONG AGAIN!. How do you make chow fun overwhelming sweet? It was so unbearable I had asked to trade it in for another order only to be told that I had to pay for what I ordered even tho it was horribly made. Their noodles consist of so much sugar. If you expect it's just a plain stir fry with non sweet seasonings do not order the noodles at all. The only decent noodle order was the pad Thai...
