Like their doughnuts and treats. My wife informed me that it was her mom’s birthday coming up and I thought what better way than to grab a cake in a couple of days and celebrate it with her. She’s been going through a tough time and lost both her dad as well as her husband, so I wanted to do something I knew she’d love and the woman LOVES bodis. Was quickly dismissed when asked about ordering one because they require a 72 hour notice ahead of time. I had really hoped I could get something, even if it was a small cake for like 4 as opposed to something large and overly difficult to make, but the guy over the phone clearly wanted nothing to do with me. Shame. I probably won’t go back after this experience.

What happened to customer service and more so, what happened to generosity? Since the pandemic it’s standard for places to totally dismiss their potential customers. I worked food service for almost two decades and I understand as well as anyone last minute orders are frustrating, but that it’s also business that keeps the lights on for you. Eh. Nuff said. This was my first time ordering from here and I don’t think I’ll be doing it again. First, I places an order with a woman over the phone and needed to email in pictures of what I wanted. Okay no problem. Did that. Got a call 4 days before I needed the cake by from another woman stating that they never got my order in. Okay, mixups happen. No big deal. I reordered the cake. I picked it up and inspected it and it looked pretty much how I wanted it. I specifically asked for a marble cake. That night before we cut the cake, my husband was super excited about having a marble cake because so few in his family like it and since we are newly married and didn’t have a wedding cake, I wanted to do something special for him. We proceed to cute the cake, only to find out that it was a vanilla cake with the tiniest line of chocolate on the very bottom. You couldn’t even taste the chocolate. We hired Bodi’s for our son’s wedding to do a donut and cupcake bar and donut “cake” and we couldn’t have been more pleased. I thought I knew how many donuts we would need but she suggested a lower number based on her past experience. She was right on the dot with her estimate and she saved me money at the same time. Everything was delivered and set up as promised and I’ve never seen a long line for dessert at a wedding reception than I did at our reception!! The donuts and cupcakes tasted wonderful and looked great! Jane of Bodi’s went above and beyond even offering to pick up the flowers and greenery that we ordered from a local florist for the donut cake saving us a trip.
