Manny's Snack Shack — Restaurant in Twin Lakes

Surprised at how floury tasting the pancakes were. Awful, just awful. Two out of our three orders were only just pancakes, no meat, no potatoes just the cakes. When our server came back to check in us, we told her that the pancakes were very floury tasting. She said she'd tell "them". Then, nothing. Guess we should have called her back over to remind her to remedy this. Meanwhile, we were given our full priced check. When the hostess asked how everything was, my husband replied that the pancakes weren't good. She "uh-huh'ed" him while running our credit card. Finally, I chimed in and remarked," it's very unusual that when you complain about a meal that the restaurant doesn't adjust your bill". The hostess THEN made eye contact and look right at us and asked ,"Oh? Was there something wrong?" 🤦🏻‍♀️ I pointed out that my husband had just offered that info. She pointed out she wasn't our server (unsure why) and asked if our server knew. Our server was standing right there when all this took place and I looked right at her and said that was our server and yes, she knew. I walked out of the restaurant and the hostess just told my husband that next time we shouldn't complain at the end of the meal???! Our server should have piped up and said that we didn't complain at the end of the meal and that she maybe just didn't know how to help us fix the problem. Will not...

It was another fabulous breakfast n meal at Manny's. Debbie was our waitress n she was fantastic. The restaurant was very crowded n we sat at the counter. We got to watch how fast Manny was at making everything for all that were there. OMG was that a great sight to see! Manny was able to get everything out n everyone was completely happy! I love the food there n how everything is made from scratch! He never missed a beat! It was great seeing my friend Manny again even though it's been way to long in my opinion since we were there last. Manny n Debbie n few of the other staff remembered who I was and treated us like Gold. Manny remembers when I'd bring my kids in for breakfast for many years. They're 29 n 27 now! Boy do I miss this small town feeling you get when you are at Manny's! Everything was beyond awesome! Thank you again Manny for the love you show all of your friends n customers of many many years! You're an incredible man! Here's to many more years of very great...

I went in with a group of 5. We had to wait 5 minutes just for someone to look at us, and another 5 for them to talk to us. We had to sit at 2 different tables so we had 2 different checks. When we finally got the checks they had already added a 20% gratuity to each of the checks. We were charged $3 extra for American potato's even though when we got them they were cold. We didn't get a refill on coffee even tho we were walked right past while they were refilling other people's coffee. The service was awful, when I asked to pay less because the service was awful, they told me no. I'm not sure if that's legal, but I will not be coming back here. PS when you walk in don't be surprised if it's not a cheerful environment, everyone looked like they hated their lives and jobs. Except Manny the owner who seemed to be the only one up front...
