Gardners Ice Cream Parlour — Restaurant in Tyrone

Edit: well, I WAS going to change my review to positive ( I love Gardner's) because corporate handled the previously mentioned issue. HOWEVER, it's 4:47 pm on Sat Nov 16 and no one is answering the phone, I wanted to see if they had a flavor before I tried to go again. I tried to call at 4:45 pm and no answer on phone either. At least answer the phone and say "Thank you for calling Gardner's,we are a little busy at the moment,could you hold please?" Instead of just Not answering the phone. (???) So far this is the second time I've struck out with bad service,and I've only tried twice since I moved back. Odd. Maybe third time will be charm(??) Not today apparently. Having known Gardner's for multiple decades, I was shocked and appalled at the behavior allowed to go on from the employee who begrudgingly 'waited' on me Oct 22ns 2024 at 6:07 pm. Some girl with straight brown hair working behind the counter was having a drama conversation with a boy on the opposite side of the counter and she could not have been more hurried or rude toward me..so she could get back to her drama. Scowl on her face and all. I am good natured so I kept smiling, saying what a pleasant day it was,how nice their ice cream is .she only scowled at me. The ash blonde hair girl working with her was trying to be pleasant to customers but the straight haired brunette was being rude to her co-worker as well. I simply wanted ice cream on a beautiful autumn day. This is not behavior from employees I would think Gardner's would be proud of. Upon my leaving another woman came in to order ice cream and was receiving the same hurriedness and scowling from this girl..I noticed as starting my car at 6:17pm, that woman left the store with no ice cream in hand, I imagine she wasn't fond of this treatment toward customers as well. Please alert that bad behavior behind the counter and their personal drama is not part of good customer service that Gardner's is so fondly...

This place was amazing! I had heard great things about this place, but was a little leery about it. However, I was impressed! They serve massive scoops! The people serving were friendly. The ice cream was delicious. I got 2 scoops, and that was almost too much for me! After eating, I enjoyed walking through the museum and candy store. This place is super cool. There was a huge selection of many diverse flavors. We liked the cotton candy, birthday cake, and the praline pecan. The cotton candy had a very unique texture and was full of flavor. The birthday cake was sweet with some icing and birthday cake pieces. The pecan was sweet and had small pieces of sugar and pecans.
