Stars Restaurant — Restaurant in Ukiah

Been here multiple times by the recommendations of a local and just by habit due to being in town. The restaurant is clean, neat...busy at times...once in a while they'll bust out the vacuum and hang out right next to your table...totally look forward to that...The staff is friendly, helpful and will sometimes forget about your table, plus put cheese on your sandwich when you said "no cheese, please"...I get it, life is busy...having discussion about you and your significant other with your fellow co-worker about your trip you had is important and is probably a great story...especially if i can hear about it over my own conversation at my table...but id really like a re-fill on my coffee...the food it good, lots to choose from...mostly breakfast for me, i like the french toast (who doesn't) ...watch out though, sometimes the staff will over load your drink with fruit and fake fruit (little paper things that look like fruit)...overall a good eatery with its own little quarks. Will i come here again...more...

Great variety of dishes here, it's a family restaurant similar to Denny's or IHOP but food and atmosphere are much better. I've enjoyed their Fiesta and Cobb salads, as well as their tasty burgers and creative skillets. Breakfast served all day, with Joe's Special and the Mendocino Sampler being my personal favorites. Omelets are satisfying and well portioned. Love the hot chocolate with whipped cream and cherry on top. The shakes are delicious too. Stars also has 'daily specials' for all 3 meals periods which can save money. Waitresses friendly and attentive. Definitely family friendly with all the choices, there will be something their to enjoy even for the most difficult eaters. Easy access just off Perkins St exit, in same parking lot as CVS. Wish they could get a large sign to advertise on the 101. The mall should allow it. I'm guessing they are missing a lot of business with travelers not seeing the restaurant, as restaurant is...

We celebrated my son's birthday at Star's restaurant today. The staff was friendly and genuinely wanted us to have a great experience. The restaurant has a relaxing ambiance. I am an extremely picky eater but was impressed by the food quality. I ordered the "Star's chicken wrap" and it was delicious! My husband ordered the "Joe's skillet" and he was a happy camper. My daughter ordered chicken fettuccine pasta that came with a side salad-portions are huge! My two boys each had an Oreo milkshake with chicken strips and fries/fruits. Our waitress was a sweetheart, she came out with some of the cooks and sang happy birthday to my son. She also surprised him with a Neapolitan ice cream sundae.
