Hunter's Ale House — Restaurant in Union Charter Township

Horrible service & mediocre food. Will never return..... came home from FL and asked my family to meet for food and drinks. When we first arrived we received a friendly welcome. As the 10 of us completed our arrival, our waitress Anna, continued to become more and more negative/rude. We waited around 10-15 minutes for drink refills (alcohol, soda, lemonade, etc.) almost every time and that was even if we could get Anna's attention to ask for drinks. I approached the manager regarding this and he gave me the excuse they are busy. I mentioned Anna's poor attitude and was given the excuse, again, it's busy. The whole restaurant only had 7 other tables. Receiving our food order took 30+ minutes. I ordered the artichoke dip as an appetizer and the chips were stale. Anna took so long to return that the dip was cold, our food was finally being delivered, where I sent the plate back. She tried to charge me for the dip, and when I told her to take it off my tab, she said she had to ask her manager. Needless to say no one from our party will...

This was our second time here and since the first time was good, we were hopeful. I ordered the grilled chicken, baked potato and seasonal veggies. My chicken and veggies came out cold. The veggies was a mix of carrots, califlower and broccoli- which wouldn't have been bad, but besides being cold the califlower and broccoli was just the stalks, no flowers. My potato was burnt and dry, did not come with butter. My husband ordered the french dip with chips. He asked to substitute cottage cheese for the coleslaw. The server told him he could for a $4 upcharge. He said no to that and to the coleslaw-he did not want a side. When his food arrived they also brought a side of coleslaw after he said he didn't want it. They were extremely slow, some people at the bar and 2 other tables when we arrived. Our food took forever. The experience my group had at Hunter’s was very mediocre. Firstly our food took 45 minutes to come out (we understand it was a Tuesday and was trivia night, but we got there at 7:30 when it was an hour before trivia started and it was only us and 5 other small groups there) when we ordered a burger with onion rings, a BLT sandwich with fries, and a chicken wrap with fries. To start, I asked for my burger to be medium well (a light pink center) and it came out burnt and my onion rings were hard as a rock. The grilled chicken wrap was dry and the coleslaw that came on the side was sour. The BLT was also dry and there was no mayo on it. I do appreciate the server asking to take something off our check, but we all ate all of our food because of how expensive everything is. Definitely will not...
