I remember walking in being curious about this place because it had a nice look on the outside. I went in and loved how they set it up. It’s a great spot if you want to eat with a bunch of family and friends.
I was able to meet the owners and they were all lovely people. From the owner to the manger to the chef to the waitress they are all amazing. I had the pleasure in meeting each one.
That first day I went in but I did not eat but I definitely knew I would be back sometime.
On August 28th my beautiful mother passed away and we laid her to rest on September 3rd. I wanted out family and friends to get together after her burial to join in and talk about memories and reminisce on the great things about her. I was breaking my head about where to go and it hit me, Abuela’s Cafe! I instantly took a drive to speak with them and told them what I wanted to do and how many ppl approx we needed to cater.
Let me tell you that Estrella and her husband Isaac the chef made this so seemless for me. They allowed us to close the restaurant for a private event, had buffet style food, they went over the menu with me and helped me pick the best items for a gathering, they had a projector that they allowed me to use for a video of memories of my mom and they had a speaker system so we could place songs and a microphone so we could speak.
The food was amazing! No complaints from anyone. Many said they would be coming back themselves. My top favorite is the Moro (black beans and rice) with chicharron the pollo. So so good!
So much so that we have been wanting to go back and today Sept. 19 we did and ordered just that.
I will not stop recommending this place. Outstanding...
Read moreTonight was our first night visiting this restaurant. I have to say the food was fantastic. I had the chicken cordon bleu which was very tasty. It had a cream sauce on it with mushrooms and the chicken selfless. Fantastic. Also, I had the yuca that was doused with oil and garlic and sweet plantains. My wife had a steak that practically did not fit on the plate. Both meals were very very good. For dessert we had the flan and I had a cortadito which is espresso with a little bit of milk. We were entertained by Noel who was playing the guitar in singing. The atmosphere was very good. I had a very good time. It was very relaxing. The staff was attentive and everybody seemed to be enjoying the experience...

The food above most Latin American restaurants is exquisite, quality and delicious; imagine coming from your grandma’s house for homemade Latino home cooking! Particularly the arroz moro, roasted fresh Lechón with its super crispy skin that’s served in it with all of the tasty homemade desserts. Overall, Estrella and her husband do a phenomenal job with the quality and delicious food and always welcome a relaxing restaurant atmosphere for all guests and...
