Sabor Dominicano — Restaurant in Union City

I had the unfortunate experience of visiting what I can confidently say is the worst Dominican restaurant I've ever been to in my life. After recently moving to Jersey, I was eager to try out a well-decorated place that caught my eye.

Upon arrival, we were left standing around confused as no one bothered to seat us until I finally spoke up. We decided to order the Tres Golpes, and let me tell you... the quality of the salami and fried cheese they served us was shockingly poor.

I was also in the mood for some beef feet soup (cordito) but was utterly disappointed. Not only did they charge a steep $16 for just three measly pieces of protein and meat, but they even served me the dark tips of the feet which should have been discarded like any decent establishment would do. It felt like a greedy move on their part.

Overall, the entire dining experience was a disaster. I regret spending $43 here, and I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant.

I sincerely hope this review serves as a wake-up call for the restaurant to improve. Offering some made-to-order ala carte options would be a great start.

Do Not Recommend this place! Stay away ! Worst experience today with my family . We called over the phone before heading out to the restaurant. We were greeted with sour faces . We asked questions regarding family combos and advised we would be there shortly. When we arrived we sat down ready to eat and were REFUSED service ! Stating we cannot eat here we have to order to take out . When we were coming 30 min away by car. I Do Not Recommend this place if that’s the type of customer service they have I would hate to even try their food. We also advised we would like to speak with their manager stating they don’t have one and didn’t try to make any attempt to resolve this problem. I am very disappointed that a restaurant none the less a Dominican restaurant my own people didn’t make an exception . If I could give zero...

Omg Best Mofongo in Jersey, I when to different Restaurants and try but Like it one. Nooo wayyyy🤭🤗When I first went I ask can you do it on my on way🤭🤗and it was adding more white sauce and more garlic and cheese inside. So OMGGGG what I can say is THE BEST EVER TRYING Dios Mioooo❤️ This is become my favorite restaurant in Jersey. MEJOR CHURRACO- ARROZ-ABICHUELA-COSTILLITAS- OMG TODO SE LO RECOMIENDO.!
