Mai's Kitchen — Restaurant in Union City

I ordered on the " direct order" via doordash... The portal said roughly 15-20 minutes for order to be ready. The store never made my order! I drove 12 minutes away and went inside within the scheduled window provided by the food tracker. The gentlemen at the front barely spoke english, when he asked his staff for an updated they said a "few minutes" I kindly waited outside. Roughly 5-8 minutes later, I went back inside to ask for an update, he said "still working on it" at this point it was 9:01pm! Almost 35 minutes later for a simple order (Grilled Chicken Rice plate with fried egg & Bha mi Sandwich Veggie) I asked to cancel the order, and the gentlemen said "sorry can not do" so, being hungry, i took my son and left, we ended up at taco bell, with no refund! How sad!

Will not visit again, highly recommend store owner to accommodate the accuracy of accepting orders to be prompt, if more time is needed, simply mention this, and for online orders, if more time is needed "Extend your preparation time" It's not that hard. Quantity service over quality service is what seems to drive today's restaurant industry....

We waited for about 15 minutes for a waiter to come to us to get our order.

Our food arrived one by one, with 10 minutes in between of our orders and the first order came after 20 minutes. One of my kids said that the rice plate he ordered tasted bland, the other said his order tasted ok and my third son said he’s pho was ok also. I ordered the fresh vegetable spring role (5 pieces with a good amount of dipping sauce) the skin of the role was both silky soft and hard as paper on some rolls.

Staff is nice and always ask if we were ok or if we needed anything else. Water they served was lemon cucumber water. That was good and refreshing on a hot October day.

Would I come back? Maybe just to try it out again and give it another chance. But if the same experience with food then I will have to try another. 3...

I came in for lunch. I simply ask for seafood soup with shrimp and crab over cabbage in place of the noodles. Because, they took the order down incorrectly and brought cabbage with noodles. I said very nicely this is not what I ordered. The manager and the cook exchanged words then another soup was brought in place of the first soup. It hardly had any crab nor shrimp in the soup. I asked, where is the crab ? I guess they were totally offended. I was not charge for my soup but I was ask not to return because my order was to difficult... I said nicely okay. Tell me is one in the business to provide service? I was ahead of the manager because, I had no intentions on returning . I believe in one providing...
