Mr. Pickle's Sandwich Shop - Union City, CA — Restaurant in Union City

On April 15th I went to Mr. Pickle to purchase 4 sandwiches. I walked in and there was only 1 customer and he was all taken care of he just finished paying. There were 4 girls working there and they were gossiping in Spanish. I didn’t catch everything they were saying but they were not happy with the management. I stood there for five minutes, and the customer and I both looked at each other and I think we were thinking the same thing. Not one of those four girls acknowledge that I was standing there waiting to place my order. They just kept working on whatever they were doing and didn’t ask to take my order. One of them looked at me but then quickly turned around and I got zero service. I ended up walking out after approximately 7 to 8 minutes and, you guys lost a big sale that day I went in for four sandwiches but when I saw your menu, I was going to get Five and feed my family and my Auntie’s family. It’s the worst feeling on earth when you go into an establishment and nobody acknowledges you. They didn’t even say “someone will be right with you.” They didn’t even talk to me. They just continued gossiping. I was very disappointed. I was hungry. I ended up walking out and going to Mexico, Lindo. That was the worst experience. I had there in a long, long time there was actually four girls there and all four of...

Okay where do I begin to unpack this place… upon arrival it seemed cool like any other Sammie shop. But, after you look around you find more reasons not to eat here due to lack of cleanliness. My lady and I ordered here this past weekend and we got everything and it was looking promising until I went to the drink station and wanted to get some lemonade and as I pressed the water tab to dilute my lemonade a bit a chunk of mold flew into my drink… at that moment I was disgusted couldn’t help but notice the cob webs, dust, dirt, and bugs EVERYWHERE. The window was covered in small bugs and it made us check our food just to make sure it wasn’t possibly full of debris. Thankfully the food was great and the staff were nice but, I can’t overlook how dirty this establishment was. Will probably be the last time we go to this...

Ordered four sandwiches and two kids lunches. The two Tuna sandwiches didn’t have any tuna in them. I dropped them off and got a call there was no tuna. Went back to store and showed owner a photo of no tuna. He refused to believe me. After an argument he made one sandwich and told me he would look at camera, but his sandwich maker never makes a mistake.

Next day owner called me and offered the second tuns sandwich. What a joke.

On top of that they are short changing on the ingredients. My wife’s turkey had two little pieces of turkey and all sandwiches had a quarter of the Vegas as usual.

During this pandemic he is taking advantage of his customers.
