Churrasko Portuguese Barbecue — Restaurant in Union

I was really looking forward to trying Churrasko in Union, but unfortunately the food was a big letdown. Just like the others, stay away from the fries.

Everything we ordered felt undercooked, especially the meats. The chicken didn’t have that classic BBQ or grilled flavor — it tasted more like it was boiled and then quickly thrown on a tray. The ribs and pork were chewy and lacked any real seasoning or char.

The rice had zero authenticity. For a place claiming Portuguese-style cooking, the rice was bland and flavorless — absolutely no depth or seasoning you’d expect from a proper Portuguese meal.

Even the fries, which should be an easy win, were limp. Overall, this meal was a major disappointment and definitely not worth the price. Won’t be returning...

I really wanted to like this place and was hoping it would make it. Unfortunately, the food was lousy and stingy; I felt cheated. We ordered a 'whole chicken' but it only had one breast and wasn't even enough for 2 people. The rice was white, flat, and tasteless, definitely not the usual,yellow Spanish rice. Fries were soggy, likely from frozen. The black beans were just beans. The garlic shrimp had far too much spice for garlic shrimp, were small and hard. The rolls were fresh and good....

Decided to give it a shot since it’s so close to home. I ordered a bbq chicken with rice and fries that could have been better. Chicken had a weird flavor but at least was not dry. I had to eat it with ketchup to not have a taste in my mouth. Fries were horrible, maybe from the oil used. Soggy consistency which was not good. Rice: honestly the only good part of the meal.

Maybe the other items are better but I didn’t have a good experience with this...
