We had a few friends recommend this place so last night we called in a carryout order for our family. They guy who took our order read back through all of the details to double check accuracy and said it would be ready in 30 minutes. When I arrived it was actually about 45 minutes from the time I had hung up the phone with them. I walked in and every worker there saw me standing near the front desk and no one greeted me or said one word. After 10 minutes of standing there I approached a young lady about my order and she went back to the kitchen to ask. Then another young man came out to tell me that it was still being done and it would be another 20 minutes or so. At this point I was very visibly frustrated but I tried to stay patient. After 20 minutes I asked the same young lady for an update and she went back to the kitchen again and this time the Manager came out and asked me for the order name and looked it up on the computer and started to shake his head and stormed off to the kitchen without providing me any sort of update. Fast forward another 30 minutes, the manager comes out with our two bags of food and asks for my payment. Not apologetic whatsoever, in fact rather rude and seemed annoyed. When I asked him what happened he just said it was a simple mistake, the order was never put in. Acting like it was no big deal. My frustration at that point was why wasn't that figured out during my first 30-40 minutes waiting there after asking for updates twice. There was no offer of any sort of apology, discount as a gesture for trying to please me or apology for the inconvenience. To top it all off, I got home and the food was all cold and after heated up it was mediocre at best. We won't be returning, that...
Read moreHad the worst experience tonight Torres mexican steakhouse. This was our first visit and we definitely will not be returning.
First, and not even an issue until later, our food took 45 minutes to come out, it came out wrong but acceptable for us. Also, our appetizer came out at the same time as our entree and salads but again, it is what it is. It was date night, so the alone time & conversation was nice. We ate. Made Comme ts to each other how their Mexican is probably better and we would try it again. Then our bill came.
My meal was listed for $32.99 on the menu, we were charged $48.50. Chris' meal was $24.99 on the menu, we were charged $29.50. Our cheese dip was $3.69 on the menu, we were charged $9.99. Our app was listed for $4.69 and we were charged $4.99. The drinks were different too but whatever.
We approached the server with questions and were referred to management. As she cleared the counter of menus and other stuff, she pointed to a sign under everything that disclosed something about price increase. First, I get it. Costs have increased and it trickles down. Secondly, had I been informed from our server or a visible notice then I wouldn't be complaining at all.
However, I find it absolutely ridiculous that you don't have it marked out on the menus while waiting for new or have an insert with new prices or even something posted at each table telling customers of the changes. This is wrong and not...
Read moreI have been to Torres 3 times. The first visit was great. Great food, service and overall good experience. The 2nd time I went service was not not the best. There were 3 tables and our food took forever and when it came out I was all wrong. I ordered the classic burger (for my kid) and said no tomatoe, no onion, just lettuce and cheese. The burger comes back with double the onions2 tomatoes, bacon and mustard. So while we all ate, my daughter had to wait another 20 min for her food. Also my son’s tacos I asked for no onions and of course a bunch of grilled onions. I took it as it’s just one bad day. Mistakes happen. Then yesterday I did a takeout order. Ordered burger for my child, again no onion not tomato no mustard, only lettuce and cheese and I get home to find onions, bacon tomato. Seriously like the cooks to take the time to read the ticket. One mistake is acceptable but twice for the same thing? Also the enchiladas had no flavor. The sauce tasted a bit like the canned spaghetti o sauce but without salt. Lastly, I placed the order online and did a pick up but they still charged a menu upgrade fee of $5-$6 dollars? I honestly will not be going there anymore. I think staff needs to...
