Imo's Pizza — Restaurant in University City

I've reviewed this Imos some time ago, a few times with rave reviews (Diva Harris) this time I can't say the experience was the same. I was craving a salad today so I called and placed my order which was the usual previously mentioned on my Diva Harris review. The first thing was I was told to hold and the phone was put down, in the background there was nothing but loud profanity with numerous people conversing. I immediately thought that was unprofessional and started to hang up assuming things had changed because it was never that way before. I stayed on the call and when someone picked up the phone again I told them what I wanted on my salad. She informed me they didn't have roasted red bell peppers. I said really? ( If u look at my Diva Harris review you'll see that's what I always ordered. Anyway I was told that they didn't have them so I asked for the other items I regularly ordered. I also asked for an extra egg, croutons and asked how many dressing come with the large salad and was told 2. I said I wanted to add a extra one making it 3 dressings and she said ok. My salad was picked up and delivered to me but there was no extra dressing and the 2 I received were 2 different salad dressings plus the salad was missing the croutons. Mind u I was told the salad was 9.99 excluding the extra egg and chef mix. The total was $15.50 more than I've ever paid for the same salad and I was charged an extra .50 for the 3rd dressing that I didn't receive. Although the salad is edible I just can't give more than 3 stars due to the unprofessionalism, the missing croutons and salad dressing as well as missing 3rd dressing that I paid for. The experience was good while it lasted a year ago. I couldn't get enough of the polite staff, delicious salad with roasted bell peppers and the price for it all was reasonable. Today I received less for more. I think the thrill is gone. I'm not going to bother contacting them about the missing croutons and missing salad dressing and the 2 different dressings I did receive. Just from the conversations in the background I don't expect anything I say to make a difference. I'll take the loss and find a new place salad...

I ordered half chicken Caesar salad and wings well done. I added a note for them to be fried crispy. There was barely any chicken in my salad and my wings are in the air fryer as a type because there were not crispy at all. I'm so disappointed.. The drivers are always nice but this for I received today was not what I asked for.

Ordered a second time and the pizza was due to arrive between 4:45-4:55pm. By 5:20 the food hadn't arrived. I called to check and was told "she should be pulling up. I can see her pulling up right now". I went to the door and no one is there. After 10 min I called back and as soon as they answer they say the system is down so they can't check on any orders. This is my last time ordering from this location. The customer service and the fact that my food was more than 45 minutes late is ridiculous. It wasn't even a woman delivering. It was a man so whoever I spoke to first lied.

1/28/23 I order from this location today and there is hair on my food. I call to notify that this is the second time this has happened. I spoken with Mo who tries to convince me that it's oregano and I am firm that it is hair. See...

My food is consistently great from this location! My orders are accurate, and the food arrives HOT! However, my favorite part about this location is my driver, Keisha (blue car- sorry if I spelled her name wrong!). She is AMAZING! No lie, I could be having the worst day ever, and her smile and attitude turn it all around. She is so kind and good natured, and I really feel she deserves a shout out! I’ve never had service from any IMO’s like hers, and I just hope she’s appreciated at work like we appreciate her! Thank you to the whole team for always making our lazy lunch days easier. 😃

Update as of 7/16: had a different driver today, Jermaine Briggs, and tell me why he was just as nice and amazing!? I don’t understand how anyone here has a bad review, especially because his smile and presence were larger than the sun. Thank you for making my day with or without pizza 🤣 Y’all...
