Pho Long's U City and S.Grand dishes are superb! Make sure to visit it early :) They get super busy and the wait time can be longer...
However, the Pho Long owner at U.City was VERY TRICKY regarding the menu and the bill. She should have been upfront regarding the extra $2 for take out per item.
I bought a dine in P4 for $9.99 (on the menu) and, wasn't able to finish it, she charged me $11.99. Then the extra soup was $2 (menu), then she charged me $4 for that. So, it looks like she charged me $2 extra per item that was a take out. I would understand if she were upfront about it rather than being sneaky and tricky. BEWARE when you eat here, and/or do a take out - you gotta check your bill all the time.
Her son's Pho Long at South Grand does a much better job, excellent service, cleaner, and, their cook there is better too. That Pho Long S Grand - I highly recommend.
I will never dine here again at Pho Long U City coz the owner is just a very tricky and sneaky person. She does not tell you the truth about the take out charges.
Oh, the health sanitation department should check their nasty toilet too at Pho Long U.City., it's always...
Read moreWe dropped by for lunch. For a popular city such as St. Louis unfortunately it doesn't have anywhere close to the number of Vietnamese restaurants as others. Fewer competition might have its toll on the quality of the food.
We ordered Pho. It's forgettable, at best. Let me put it this way. If you go out to an Asian supermarket to get a packet of beef (or chicken) Pho in powder, then broil it up along with some green onion, basil and chicken or beef, you'd then get at least an as good as if not better Pho bowl than the ones served over here.
The restaurant is in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking spaces. It's relatively clean and there's nothing in particular to say about its decor. The service is below average as it took time on that day for us to get our meals, though it was 1:30 pm and it wasn't crowded at all, and the waitress was not particularly nice on that day either.
I can't recommend this place. If you want Vietnamese or Chinese food in general Wonton King a few hundreds feet away is a better choice. But if you really crave Pho, give Mai Lee on Musick Memorial Dr. a chance or even Wonton King close by should be a...
Read moreActually I'd like to rate this store as ZEROOoooo! This is not our first visit to this Pho Long restaurant, but this is the first time that the whole family came over (6 peeps). First there was no information given nor a waiter even asked if the check going to be one or split just like other descent restaurant does. When time to pay each one wanted to pay for their own orders. We were told it can not be done, it has to be in one check one card per cashier, very upsetting, we were referred to the Manager/Owner who was very rude with sarcastic facial expressions and tone of her voice was really aggravating, she does not going to cater what we requested, not apologetic, No explaination, I was even told "Don't come back here" What an ATTITUDE!!! We all was deprived of our rights on HOW we want to pay-- its not we DON'T want to pay coz we all have job. But the way the situation was handled was so unprofessional, frustrating and aggravating--- Am not coming back in that place and NOT recommending at all-- I wish I've read last months review about "cockroach was found on the table" by one of the costumers---Disgusting...
