Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Upland

This location was fine pre-Covid but their current take out system is severely flawed. This is the second time I place an on-line order, never get the "notify you when ready text" before i pick up my order and consequently I eat cold food. Tonight my order was placed and ready for pick up at 8:15PM. I was in the establishment at 8:05 and witnessed the poorly managed order fulfillment system in place tonight. I kept waiting and noticed many people there who had also been waiting a long time and beyond their promised pick-up time. Finally, at 8:25PM I asked where my order was because I had not received any text. Then they asked me if it was an on-line order, which should have been on their little rack labeled for such orders. When I gave them the number and name they immediately grabbed the bag that had been sitting there where they were filling orders. My order confirmation email was at 7:54PM with an order ready promise for 8:15PM and the ticket stapled to my bag shows 8:06PM. My order ready text came through at 8:29PM and four minutes after I had picked up my order. Total failure. I wish I could take away stars...

Just came back from a hike and my group and I were HUNGRY. Stopped by The Habit and unfortunately, it was the worst experience I've had at a, The Habit. I asked for 2 Double Chars with bacon but I felt it wasn't enough. I was craving the Chicken bits but I remembered that many places have been out of the BBQ sauce so I ask the cashier if they had any. He tells me they do so I order it. To my surprise, I get my order and when I ask for BBQ sauce, he just says, "we don't have any" and walks away. Really? Like I didn't just ask beforehand. I'm fine that they didn't have BBQ sauce but what bothered me was his careless attitude to fix or acknowledge his mistake. He just said, "we don't have have so what do you want?" On top of that, my brother ordered a double char as well and they messed up and gave him a single and a friend ordered a, get this, BBQ Chicken sandwich and to his surprise, no BBQ. They don't even tell you, they just take your order and give it to you however they feel like...

We usually go to another Habit location in the same city, but went to this one on Jan 23rd because our kids' school was having a fundraiser through just this location. We got our food to-go. 1st they left my daughter's cheeseburger from her kid's meal - got the fries and little gummy burger treat, but no actual burger. Mind you, we also live about 15 to 20 minutes from this location, so its not like we could just turn around. 2nd my mother-in-law offered to split her burger with my daughter (I had a salad, husband has fish, other daughter had nuggets). So we cut it in half thinking all will be well. My daughter couldn't even finish her half because she said it tasted funny. Sure enough, I later wake up to her throwing up. Mother-in-law was also sick. Gee, I wonder what they both ate that could have caused this? Thankfully it was just a 24hr thing. Needless to say we'll not be going back to this location, even if we happen to be in the area. We'll stick to the one off of...
