Dunkin' — Restaurant in Upper Darby

This is hands down one of the (if not THE) worst Dunkin locations. Today’s experience turned me away from this location forever. From the moment I pulled up to the drive-thru speaker (which was a negative experience to say the least….the worker does not understand English and made me come to the window to place my order) to when I paid, it was horrible.

The main reason I will not be back here again was due to the way the worker handled food. If you care about basic commercial food safety and cleanliness (and I mean the absolute basic) then don’t come here.

The worker (an older desi man, probably 50yo or so) that is taking the orders, is also handling the register and making the food. He was wearing a glove on one hand and the other hand was bare. He handled cash with both hands, and then made food and packed the food with the same dirty hands. They don’t use tongs here like Starbucks to handle food, just straight-uo use their hands.

As someone who worked at a similar business years ago, I can tell you we are not supposed to handle food and cash with the same “hands” (aka without washing or wearing/changing gloves).

When the dude was about to hand me the order I asked him if he was the one that made the food as well, and he said yes and then for some reason started saying nonsensical things like “I don’t touch bacon. There’s no bacon. I didn’t put bacon….”blah blah blah. Where did bacon come into this conversation? My food didn’t even include bacon.

I just wanted to know if he washed his hands or put on new gloves before handling my food. When I FINALLY got my point across, he started getting agitated and arguing with me. Is it that hard to say that he can remake the food with new gloves? That’s what we would have done at my old workplace if a customer asked us any similar question, because after all, customer service is a thing.

I told him I didn’t want the food anymore, and he, in a mocking tone, said okay, but still charged me for the food. I didn’t even realize he still charged me for it because this location does not give you your receipts, and I only noticed when I saw that the charge on my card...

This is the WORST Dunkin in the nation. Always gets your order wrong, yacking in foreign tongue and laughing with their whole staff on the intercom while you wait there saying “hello? Anyone there?” While sitting at the window waiting for my food, staff was dipping donuts into their coffee and eating with their mouths open and laughing and spitting things out. Eventually they got around to making my food (customer is the kay priority here!) and they touched it with the hands they were eating and spitting on (no gloves). This place is trashy and they have zero pride for their business. The other 2 times I’ve come over the years (I avoid this one despite it being 3 blocks from my house), similar horrific experiences and orders were wrong. Their grasp of English is bad so maybe they don’t understand the order. But the attitude says they really don’t care if customers are happy. My croissant was burnt to a black crisp on one corner. They give such poor service here! And they dont care! Every time I come here and I am I'm at the counter they literally clean and do every other thing or take care of some order at the drive-through instead of taking care of me the customer they didn't stop or try to cater to the customer which you're supposed to do,they act like you're not even there and get back to you five minutes later,they always have an attitude or get my order wrong as well and the food is sometimes over cooked or missing. the The food is never consistent so you never know what you're getting with that either so it's the worst place to go to don't ever to any Dunkin' Donuts. They never have any donuts either! And when i go in the morning like at 6 theres barley any donut selections? A donut is $ 1.09 like what?? It use to be 69 cents then 89 cents now $1.09!! nope i can can get a cheaper donut thats bigger and 10 times better at my favorite bakery. This place...
