So, the chicken tacos were actually pretty slammin. Rice and beans were dry when I actually asked for rice and peas which was supposedly on the menu. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. NON EXISTENT. I’m Surprised, perhaps maybe it was just a bad day for them based off other reviews but Jesus she treated me like it was personal.
I’m all for the culture so when I saw Jamaican I was all about it as I have many friends of Jamaican descent. However, the person on the phone was very cold from the geico. When I first called I asked if they delivered and they said to call grub hub or Ubereats. I called again because they were not coming up on Ubereats she told me she didn’t know. I then placed the order anyway and before I could ask the price of my meal she hung up on me. Then I went ahead to call back to ask for the price of my meal and she said she didn’t know and would have to call me back as they had people in the restaurant and were busy. (A little weird but sure, understandable) I never received a call back. I get to the place and I see her ring me up and my order was $40.00. I drove around 40 minutes to get there and returned home. When I got there my cabbage was not in the bag. I called to ask if I could just get a $4 refund to my card because it’s a far drive not to mention I have sick family members and can’t be doing a drive back and forth. She got irritated with me put me on a hold and then I heard them talking about me as she held the phone down then got back on the phone saying I could come pick up the $4 because they couldn’t warrant me a refund one they can because we have the same machines at my job they just wouldn’t. Cero customer surface. If you want to eat good wings or awesome jerk chicken go for it. But if you want someone to “ go the extra mile “...
Read moreSooooo good. I think I ordered everything but the oxtails this visit and it was Sooo good. My husband said we should just take a break this holiday and order from them. Let me be clear we throw down in the kitchen, but we cooked like the Klumps for Thanksgiving (22 dishes total) so we need a break. Cabbage slapped, mac & cheese slapped, brown stew slapped, the beef patties and coco bread slapped (not on the menu but they have it fresh baked)...okay we liked everything. Not to mention the woman at the counter (I think it was the owner) reminded me of my Mom. She has that "try me" face and is a sweetie...she ain't playing games in the kitchen or with you. You can tell they love what they do so they get 5 stars from me. I need to add I read the reviews about timeliness and my honey and I are firm believers that you don't rush good food. We ordered went to Lowe's to shop and came back and we were good. Remember a lot of the food that you don't cook all day is prepared fresh if you want something quick that is subpar go through somebody's drive through. One more thing those Grandma's Honey BBQ wings babyyyyy were the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth...
Read moreI've never had Jamaican soul food so going here at first was honestly a complete surprise. That being said, I loved the food so much I came again to eat off the menu 3 days in a row. The food is that good. Whether it be the oxtail platter or the Jamaican beef patties or even the assortment of drinks. You literally can't go wrong with picking. I highly suggest the curry goat or the oxtail and for the sides the Mac n cheese and plantains. The Mac n cheese was very delicious, seasoned but also still had some structure to it. Dulett knows what she's doing and I'm happy to support a small business with delicious food. Dulett was kind and very helpful from the start and the service is unmatched. If you're in the need to want good food and to lie down after with your hands in your stomach, Jamaica wings is the...
