How many places would you drive 20 minutes just to order from?
Yeah … special birthday meal ☑️ Dinner and a show? ☑️
But how many just because it’s Friday night?
1st Indian Kitchen is one of those! The last 2 weekends I’ve driven 20 minutes for delicious Indian food. I could have gone somewhere closer for sure, but this place is 👍👍
First week, I loved the Chicken Jalfrezi, this weekend we tried the Black Peppercorn Chicken …. And …. THE SAMOSA CHAAT! Now I’ve been to India a handful of times, always stayed in business hotels. I’d never tried Samosa Chaat until last night. It … was …. delicious. I mean the Samosa are great anyway, but in the form of Chaat … 😋
The people are great, the food is great and the prices ‘knock the socks’ off more expensive locations. Go … you won’t be disappointed! You could even be like your parents (on the Geico ad) and call them later in the evening and tell them they made your Friday...
Read moreAfter a very frustrating experience with an Indian chain restaurant in the area, my husband found this place while looking for new Indian food to try, and JACKPOT. I am a HUGE baby when it comes to spice (I'll eat pretty much anything you put in front of me, but spicy is just not enjoyable for me), which always made me hesitant about Indian food. My husband stopped here on his way home from work and said the people were so friendly. Upon arriving home and digging in, we were floored. My go-to is butter chicken, and this was out of this world - barely spicy and just a little warm on the tongue, and the spices/flavors were on point. My husband's chicken tikka masala wasn't even that spicy (definitely spicier than the butter chicken, but if I'm saying not that spicy, it really isn't). We will 100% be ordering from here whenever we want Indian food, and last night's leftovers are in the fridge ready for dinner tonight and I'm...
Read moreThis place is a joke! I ordered vegetable Biryani and asked if I can have it mild ..the lady on the phone said ok I must have repeated myself a few times about it not being spicy at all due to really bad acid reflux... after getting it home I tasted it and it was very spicy so I called them back and the same lady answered I told her how spicy it was and it was not edible she then continues to tell me oh it’s the masala we use to make it And it that makes it spicy ! So she could have told me this before I placed the order! I have ordered biryani other places and never had a issue with it being spicy you make a dish how a customer wants not the way you want and people have allergies or other reasons they can’t have certain things and next time maybe tell someone before they place a order that it can’t be made the way they want don’t lie to make a buck or fix the problem for the customer don’t say oh it’s the...
