Station Tap — Restaurant in Upper Darby

So I am currently sitting at a table at STATION TAP at the very moment as I am writing this review. I am so disgusted at the moment that I am shaking. Immediately as me and my friend walked in we where not greeted at all from the bar tender who greeted everyone else , not the waitress either ! Also as the waitress walked over to hand us the menues they where placed on the table and walked away . Her name being Mercedes which I had to ask for , was totally Rude gave us a once over . As the cook came out and did a scan of the room after our server went straight to the back to spill the beans on us after I asked for lemon to add to my water. I’m going to assume it was because of the color of our SKIN !!! At this day and age 2018 the racial descrimination is at an all time high!! I will not patron this establishment ever in life again .. I have decided that my money is not wanted therefore I will not give it .. I am appalled at the way we where treated and I advise anyone of color never to go there again!! I will also reach out to cooperate and write a formal complaint !!! ABSOLUTELY RACIST I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO POORLY!! No stars from me .. I wish the service for people of COLOR was as good as the food!!!! Honestly I will not deny the food there is great .. However my experience was absolutely HORRIBLE!! To KELLY ANN you should stick to minding your business because that is a better look then your display picture, BOOM 💥 AND THE FACT THAT YOU SAID YOU ARE REFFERING TO YOUR AFRICAN AMERICAN FRIENDS OF THE BLACK RACE YOU ARE APART OF THE PROBLEM .. Also to Jeff the professional thing to do was to reach out and try and rectify the problem not jump on the band wagon of your fellow colonizers !!! So, I didn't want to believe that they treat ppl of color differently. So I stopped in. It's literally down the street from my house. I have been here 3 times. This will be my last! I always give businesses multiple chances before I write them off. Drexel Hill doesn't have a shortage of watering holes and I'm sure they won't miss my business bc they have a steady patronage. But I digress, let me explain how I was treated differently: I sat at the bar, the bartender was pleasant enough, but aren't they always. They are never outright with their discrimination we aren't in the time when segregation was acceptable. I sat at the bar for 2 hrs, my glass never went empty so again I will repeat the differential treatment wasn't explicit.. it was implicit! In the picture you see 3 different menu sets. The first is mine, I received the basic menu for beer and food/wine. The second picture is of the woman next to me and the 3rd is a woman across from me. She has 3, apparently there were specials that I wasn't privy to. I didn't meet the requirement for the specials of the day. Maybe it was a fluke? Oh no bc I looked around to every occupied spot and guess what's on their table? Daily specials. It doesn't end there but I overheard the bartender tell everyone else at the bar about the appetizer special as well. Nope never discussed with me. Never even asked if I wanted food. I can only speak for black folks, bc I'm not the first to post about the treatment. Hopefully I'm the last though! No need to spend your money in an establishment that...

Seriously worst meal we’ve had in PA.

Went in for a late dinner (~8p) on a Friday. Was excited to try the place as it looked cute when we had driven by a few times. Sat down and wife was greeted by waitress. Started with waters while we got lay of the bar, waitress rolled her eyes as she left.

Once we got waters, asked for beer recommendations and was told they didn’t have an IPA but then realized there was on menu and it was only the Lagunitas IPA (there were others…). I asked about the Gose, waitress didn’t recommend it because it was “pink”.

Placed a food order when we got our beers. Cheesesteak egg rolls and a Medium Black/Blue burger. Food came out and both of us were anything but impressed. Burger was so charred, I wanted the Flyers to sign it and it tasted of dirty grill. So dry I was worried the burger was going to turn the ketchup into fruit leather. Burger was horrible. Fries were actually good. Cheesesteak egg rolls weren’t any better, they made it into the inside of a napkin. We both were quite unimpressed.

Sadly, that’s not where it ended. Beer was warm and flat, neither of us dared to get a second. And the waitress completely ignored me. She was nice to wife but it was odd how she actively ignored me. And people at the bar were yelling constantly (not bar’s fault).

Shame. We really wanted to love this place. But that went...
