The Motherland Cuisine — Restaurant in Upper Darby

My first time eating here . Love the decor very small restaurant only one person to server and cook. The soup with fufu was flavorful , and spicy like I love. Big portions for the price. That was the plus of the restaurant The problem was that they were out of quite a few things I wanted to order with my meal. And I told my family to come purchase some food from here. They told me they order the chicken dinner and didn't get the other items that were supposed to be included with the chicken dinner. But they were still charging the same price instead of at a discount price because it wasn't a full meal as advertised. Now they are upset with me for suggesting this restaurant that cheated them. I'm appalled at why...

Ok it’s upsetting how these folks don’t regard the people they are in business for (customers).

I called and spoke to a lady who sounded upset about the fact that they had pepper soup and a whole lot of orders listed on Uber rats but yet still didn’t actually have them in stock. Wasted 2 hrs only for them to call me to offer something totally different with the excuse that the soup is still being made and will take an hr. I opted in for the wait only to get notified that order cancelled.

I called the store to ask what happened and the response from the lady was, I should have accepted their other product offer. She hanged up with a loud chuckle. I’m not ordering here...

Came here last night on a whim while craving some African food. The food at my usual spot has unfortunately declined and I was looking for somewhere with a higher rating. Needless to say the motherland cuisine did not disappoint. The food took longer than some other restaurants and once eating it I quickly realized it was due to the freshness of the food. I had the fried fish dry rice atcheke and plantain which was absolutely delicious. I’ll be back. Forgot to mention customer service I can’t say it’s...
