I usually order from Fatty's on front beach on my lunch hour, but I decided to try this location out for a pickup order during my lunch. I anticipated the 30-45 minute wait for my order to be made, so I decided to call once I got in line at the Walmart money center to cash my check, and I was asked to hold. There were 8 people in front of me, and only one associate to help us the entire time I was in line. Halfway through the line, I decided to amuse myself in a race to see who would be able to help me first.
During the wait, I was able to hear the perky young woman in the background taking orders, flirting, singing to herself, and with several moments of verbal silence, meaning she had no guests she was helping. 21 minutes later, my check was cashed.Obviously Walmart's money center won, but at this point, I just wanted to see how long it could go on.
I was on hold for 30 minutes, so I called it quits, telling myself I had beaten a dead dog enough. I attempted to call back several times after, only to reach a direct message saying their mailbox was full and they weren't taking anymore messages at that time. So they don't check their messages either. I really wanted to contact the manager about the situation and was half tempted to drive over anyways, but my allotted time to do so wasn't enough. Besides, word has it, he's a big stoner that doesn't really do too much about customer complaints anyways (which deems to be true the next day). Not that I'm anti weed, I could really care less.....
Sad to say I was forced to eat some fast food for lunch, when I had looked forward to a midnight toker all week, and their potato salad.
UPDATE: I went in the following morning at 11 (their door says they opened at 10), and nothing was prepped or ready. I informed them of the issue the prior day and all I got was "sorry about that." No discount or even a cookie offered. I ordered 3 cold sandwiches to go, and spent 40 minutes waiting in this dirty hot place for my food to be ready. In the meantime, I wasn't able to even get a drink until they put the nozzles back on the soda machine (which by the way, some black chunk of something fell into while dispensing), and no tea was even made. So I was forced to get soda. I noticed soda had been splashed all over the utensils and cup lids and was sticky from sitting there a while. The trash for the drink area was thrown back into the same container as the lids and napkins. The chairs were still sitting on the tables, and when they put them back down, they didn't even bother to wipe the tables from the bottom of the chairs being on them all night. This place is the epitome of a dump. Dust was brown and pasted onto the decor, the AC temp read 78 though set on 73, I can guarantee it's because they don't clean properly and their filter is clogged. Their sandwiches are good, but I won't go here again because this is not the type of local business that I...
Read moreI went there once during the process of relocating here in Feb. The food was alright but the male server was very rude and the reason we haven’t been back. I didn’t realize they were getting close to closing and sat down with my daughters to eat there. His attitude made me uncomfortable and I asked if they were closing soon as even the other person was looking at us strange. I started grabbing our food and drinks now off the table trying to get out his way but I have a traumatic brain injury from a car accident which led me with unsteady hands and I spilled a soda on the table. I grabbed some napkins to clean it and he goes to grab something from the kitchen as I’m grabbing napkins trying not to let it spill off the table onto the floor and make more of a mess. He yelled at me to stop but I have delayed processing and already had napkins and was in the middle of wiping the spill. He grabbed my arm and yelled at me for “wasting” the napkins. Who was he to put his hands on me? I have PTSD and don’t like anyone touching me for any reason and he thought it was okay to grab a customer by the arm for “wasting” napkins while I was embarrassed enough trying to clean my mess. Like I said the food was good and I wanted to try it again but for that interaction, I haven’t been back and I feel the public should know. If you have any disabilities or have an accident, beware of that male who seems to been there awhile. He might just yoke you up too.
Edit to add, I wouldn’t lie about this. You 100% did grab my arm over a soda! I will not be going back to “talk in person” as I imagine that is the furthest of your intentions as it makes no sense for you to try to gaslight me in the first place. I know what happened. I had two young girls with me who also couldn’t believe what happened. Take some accountability or maybe seek anger management. Your track record with women I’m sure isn’t a good one....
Read moreI ordered a wrap that did not come with avocado. I requested and paid for the additional avocado. When I received the wrap, I did not see any avocado on it. I took it back up to the counter and told the girl working the counter. She looked at it and agreed. She then told the cook who then replied that he in fact did put avocado on the wrap. I then took the wrap back to the table and unwrapped it for further investigation. At that time, I confirmed that there was no avocado on the wrap. I then presented the opened wrap to the girl who agreed that there was no avocado on the wrap. Upon her request for the avocado to the cook, he then became very loud and belligerent and further began using very bad language. The girl then came to my table and literally threw a small cup onto the table with 4 paper thin slices of avocado. In conclusion, the food was good but the staff was beyond unprofessional. Will not...
