I went inside the Main St Upper Marlboro MD location to pick-up my order and upon looking into the bag I noted that the sauce that was suppose to be icing for the cinnamon bread twists had what appeared to be red writing on container, after turning it over in the bag it turned out to be marinara sauce. I left the sauce in the bag because it's a food item that I touched. And having knowledge about food handling particularly during a pandemic. I knew that they couldn't re-use it. In any event, although, I had parmesan bread bites in my order I opted against purchasing the marinara sauce for an additional $0.60 because I had some at home. Being home out of work with the kids I'm constantly cooking, and spaghetti does go a long way. IJS Lol! But putting the jokes aside, what angered me about this encounter was that when I alerted the person assisting me that I was given Marinara sauce not icing (which I find interesting that there is no additional charges for icing), this person reached into my bag and took out the marinara sauce and stated that he was going to throw it in the trash. I'm not certain if he did, but he tossed it into something directly under the counter where the credit card swipers are located. Undoubtedly, this past year has been life changing for a lot of us, my family is no different. We definitely learned that we took a lot of things for granted. Having to cut back and ration things like water, electricity etc. And yes we definitely don't waste food! It was very disheartening to see that man behave in that manner. Moreover, there was a look in his eyes of enjoyment and distain while he did this act. Other staff stopped their tasks to look at him in disbelief. I noted what appeared to be an environment of fear from the staff. It seemed that this person was likely in a position of leadership. Go figure! Had it not been my son's birthday, his grandfather's contribution and insistence that my son get to enjoy his favorite food, I would never have had to endure this. Moreover, my food boxes weren't sealed with the stickers and my pizza's were slightly overcooked! The 2 stars came into play because it wasn't all terrible. There was a very kind staff who witnessed the entire interaction, he felt bad and even apologized on behalf of coworker with his actions. He offered to carry my order to my vehicle. I was very appreciative! Additionally, although the pizza's were overcook my pre-teen and teenagers gobbled it down before I could find my phone to take a picture let alone call the store to complain. Its possible they are tired of mom's home cooked meals?! (Insert sad...
Read moreMy husband and I own two local businesses in the town of Upper Marlboro. We actually order pizza from this Domino's very often. Just yesterday we ordered a carry out special from our business, paid per usual and picked up the pizza. Upon arriving back to our business the pizza was cold and did not taste fresh. My husband placed a call informing Domino's about the pizza they basically told him that he was lying. He spoke with the manager Kyle who also tried to say that the pizza was fresh as well. We simply just wanted the pizza remade and offered to bring the previous pizza back but they declined. Instead the manager said that he would issue us a refund for our troubles which was also fine. No refund was issued, so we called back today to see if maybe we had a credit instead only to be rudely spoken to by Kendall. She stated that the general manger would not grant the refund request because nothing was wrong with the pizza. However, we are telling them what the pizza taste like and they were insisting that it didn't But how would they know that, unless they tasted the pizza themselves. Long story short Kendall kept being rude to my husband and said we will not be taking your order and hung up the phone on him which is very unprofessional. I called back from another business phone she picked up the phone and hung up twice. I called from another line and when she answered she said hold said she would get the manager placed me on hold for over 10 minutes only to pick up and hang up again. I called back once more from another number and she answered to take the order as if it was a new customer. This is beyond disgusting for anyone to run their business this way. We are neighborhood locals and felt completely disrespected by the employee and the manager of this establishment. We will never purchase pizza from them again due to their disrespect and will be letting the town know at the next town hall for...
Read moreI ordered 2 medium pizzas an order of cheesy breadsticks and an order of lava cakes online on Tuesday. I placed my order at 12:50pm. I checked the tracker at 1:30pm and it wasn't moving, by 2:30 i call them and explain i had been waiting hours for my order and the tracker was not moving. They explained they had 1 driver and came up with every other excuse as to why its taking so long. My issue was no one called or emailed and told us our food would be so late. I understand being busy but this was crazy!! We received our food at 3:45pm. I went to serve my kids their pizza and the extra cheese pizza was burnt and cold ( like, how is that even possible!). I then call the store again and speak to the manager this time and he was pretty rude about it. I asked if they could send us another one and they could take the burnt pizza back. He explains it would be another hour for my 1 medium extra cheese pizza only it wasnt an hour. We received it almost 2 in a half hours later. So i placed my order at 12:50pm and got my order completed by 6:20pm. I called the store to see how we could resolve this problem because this was unnacceptable and the manager of this location didnt seem to think any of this was a big deal. I then call the corporate complaint line, waited on hold for 30mins just for them to tell me its a franchise and they cant do a thing about it and took my information and told me someone would be contacting me within 24hrs and i still haven't heard a thing from anyone about this awful experience at this domino's location. Lesson learned; i will NEVER order from Domino's again. I'm not one to leave bad reviews and would rather call the store directly and try to give them a chance to fix the issue but they didnt care one bit. I am still hoping for a call back but im not holding my...
