My baby shower this past May was at DiFabio’s & it was great; so much so that my husband & I decided to have our daughter's baptism at their Spring Valley location. I spoke w/ Chris who was very helpful; I gave him a $100 deposit & was told I would be meeting w/ him at the location 1 week prior to give final head count & to see the space & he would call me to set up a time as it got closer to the event. 1 week prior to the event I still hadn't heard from anyone. I called & was told Chris was out all week & that they couldn't say when exactly he'd be back but that they could do their best to help me out. I ended up speaking w/ Pete who was able to take my final head count over the phone & said I could drop off all of the alcohol the next day anytime after 5pm & see the space while I was there. The next day I showed up at 5:05pm to drop off the alcohol only to find nobody was there & doors were locked. As I picked up the phone to call them I was getting a call from Pete who said the event ended early so the workers had left but he would try to get a key to the location to let me in. When Pete showed up he was apologetic & helped me get all of the alcohol inside & showed me the space. He said I could go in at any time on Tuesday to give the final payment & that if he, Chris, or Frank (owner) weren't there everyone at the register was trained to take final payments & would know what to do. On Tuesday, I went up to make final payment around 12:15pm & it was nothing short of a mess. The woman at the front tried to help me but said she didn't know anything about a $5 chix finger/FF platter (told to me by Chris) & that all kids were half price so she didn't know if she could help me. The only other person that could help me was in the back & because they were about to get their lunch rush she couldn't come up & I would have to come back. Are you serious?! I'm getting ready to write you a $3,000 check & this is how I'm treated?! Clearly I wasn't happy & went over w/ her everything that I was told by Chris: all kids under the age of 5 were FREE or he could offer a chix finger/FF platter for $5 per child; the kids that were half price were ages like 6-11 or something. The woman also told me that the $100 deposit doesn't get deducted from the bill? In the end she said she would "take my word for it" & had the woman in the back re-write my bill so I could make the final payment & not have to come back. The final bill showed an 18% gratuity that was actually more than 18% & the $100 deposit was not factored in. At this point I just wanted to get out of there b/c as many people know when you have free time away from an 8 wk old your time is precious & needs to be used wisely. The day of the baptism the facility looked great, the staff was nice & all seemed to be going well. The food was brought out & instead of a chix finger/FF platter, each child was given 2 chix fingers on a plate w/ ketchup; literally no fries at all...this is what I paid an extra $5 per child for when they would have been free if they'd eaten from the buffet? A couple hours later the event ends & I get a phone call that apparently there was a door in the hallway at the venue that was completely off the hinges & being held up by nothing other than a plastic high chair & it fell on our friends son who isn't even 2 years old yet! I called DiFabio's to let them know & was told they would be sure it was fixed the next day. At the advice of a lawyer who is a relative of the family this happened to, they called DiFabio's to speak w/ Frank since they ended up having to take their son to the doctor. What was said to them? “Well, I’m glad he’s ok” Really?? That's it?! No apology? When I heard about this it was just the icing on the cake & now here we are writing a review. My MIL was going to have her dad's 90th b-day party w/ DiFabio's in December...I will clearly be talking to her before she commits to anything. I hope you are ok w/ losing customers who are spending a pretty penny at your facility on a fairly...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of hosting my sister’s baby shower at the North Ballroom venue, and I can’t express enough how wonderful the experience was! From the very start, I worked closely with Alexa, who was instrumental in making this event a success. Over the course of several months, she addressed every detail and request I had, consistently proving to be responsive and accommodating through email and phone calls.
Upon arrival, the venue itself was nothing short of breathtaking. While the photos looked stunning, stepping inside truly took my breath away. The grand ambiance created by the high ceilings, elegant golden light fixtures, and shiny wooden floors was mesmerizing. The French doors leading to the bar area added an extra touch of sophistication, and it was no surprise that guests were constantly commenting on the beauty of the space.
The staff at the North Ballroom deserve special recognition. They were incredibly kind and attentive to us and our guests, ensuring that the party area remained organized throughout the food service and games. Their professionalism made a significant difference in the overall atmosphere of the event.
Speaking of food, it was fantastic! The quality and presentation exceeded our expectations, and it contributed to the overall enjoyment of the party. By the end of the celebration, my sister and her guests were absolutely over the moon, thoroughly pleased with everything. I even know a couple of ladies asked for the event coordinators contact info for their own future parties.
In summary, I highly recommend Difabio’s venues for any event. With exceptional service, a stunning atmosphere, and fantastic food, it’s a place that will leave a lasting impression on you and your guests. Thank you, Alexa, and the entire staff, for making this...
Read moreI’ve seen several positive reviews of DiFabio’s in Media but hadn’t been there myself until yesterday. A family member of mine was in hospice and it was basically a waiting game at that point and like most families, people were pretty emotional. We decided we would give DiFabio’s a try for lunch and take a much needed little break from the situation. We got to DiFabio’s and were a hot mess even though we tried to pull it together. Some tears were shed, etc. We sat in the bar area and found out that it was literally brand new and had just been opened the week prior. We were waited on by the bar manager, Dan. Dan was AWESOME! Completely attentive, patient, and handles crying females like a total champ! 🏆 👏🙌
We truly loved the place and entire experience. We didn’t expect to feel anything about the lunch given the situation but we were impressed. The place itself is beautiful and so so clean. My mom had a roast beef sandwich and potato salad and she said it was absolutely delicious. I am not a meat eater and didn’t have much of an appetite so I got some app stuff to pick at and it was very good. Prepared quickly, tasted so good, and huge portions. I didn’t take pics given my preoccupation with my relative. Prices are so reasonable too! We expected the bill to literally be double what it was.
Long story short, I highly recommend DiFabio’s. ✔️Friendly attentive staff ✔️Ridiculously reasonable prices ✔️Really good food prepared quickly and served hot ✔️Beautiful place ✔️Really good music (did NOT see that coming!)
We loved Dan the Man so much that while we may have forgotten food pics, we took a pic of him and the new bar, and the happy hour menu. 🙌📸
Let me know if you go and if you like it! And...
