I’ve been to another Mochi doughnut franchise in Jenkintown and when I was heading to a Drs appointment I saw that this gem was opened. I came after their grand opening, and they are still extremely busy, so until the excitement wears off just be prepared that you may have to wait. One of the other customers states he was here yesterday and they had a line out the door. So grateful the staff are still pleasant and smiling after their big debut. I love the black sesame doughnuts, I never get anything else. So worth every bite! However, the ramen half dog and half mozzarella was not all the way cooked through. The dog and the mozzarella were cooked, but I could still taste the batter. However, this did not deter me from eating it. I’m from the generation that sucked water from the hose, didn’t wear seatbelts and ate cookie dough batter, so I’m pretty sure I’ll survive. However, it may be good to note to just let them hang a bit longer in the fryer to be sure. I’ll definitely be back, it’s good to have something so close. I came here for the donuts, and they were fantastic! They live up to the "mochi" part of the place's name with a lovely chewy texture. I tried two different flavors, which were so good I wished I could have eaten the whole donut for both flavors instead of sharing. The icing is applied in a delicate thin layer, just the perfect amount. The only drawback is the price at about $3 per donut (when bought individually). It is hard to find very good donuts, and these are quite unique, but I have seen quality donuts at lower prices here and there, so the price does seem a little high.
