Crabill's Hamburger Shoppe — Restaurant in Urbana

I love burgers and heard these were the best so I drove over an hour to try them. I’ll start with the positive… the burgers are pretty good. They are sliders and you can choose their toppings. Now the negatives. When I got there I was immediately disappointed for two reasons. They only accept cash and they were drive through only. For a place that has been making burgers since 1927, they make them painfully slow. The drive through line was 10+ cars, but I never had to wait an hour in other burger lines that long. There are only two people working there, but still. When I pulled up for my order, a group of 6+ bikers arrived and the person left me to take their order. All of us waited an hour and they get to cut in line? I also felt like the worker was very short with me and it felt unwelcoming. This place is also very wasteful because they put each slider in its own paper bag and I ended up with seven paper bags. Overlooking all of that, I would like to eat that food again but there is no way I will go...

The whole thing is that, just about every review right, good and bad!

YES, the burgers are small. YES, there could be more topping on the burgers. YES, the burgers are greasy. YES, the buns definitely could be A lot better. YES, there is always a long wait YES, they close unexpected sometimes. Yes, they could absolutely be more organized. YES, I wish they served fries. YES, they load the burgers in a bag (easy access)

They are a small buisness and it works for them. I'd say they don't need the money or they don't let money run their lives. I live in Dayton and ride out every once in a while and just simply check their social media to see if they're open.

ABSOLUTELY NO ONE drives more than 30 minutes without looking at reviews or from word of mouth. If you do, you deserve it, just saying.

Food was five stars but service was one. Line was long as usual but some motorcycles drove up during their supposed drive thru only and got curbside. We waited patiently for our food for an hour so I asked with a smile Excuse me I thought y'all were only open for drive thru. I tried calling several times as our order was rather large and couldn't order curbside so why do the motorcycles get curbside services? A young guy teens or early 20s grinned sheepishly and said it was hard for them to get through the drive thru.i sat in our full size truck which had made a tight squeeze around the drive through and he hurried and said I know it's stupid.... uhhh yeah it is.
