Lime Chicken Pollo A LA Brasa — Restaurant in Urbana

The food was fantastic! We ordered over the phone on our way back from the district park, and he gave us a rough estimate of 15 minutes for two of the Pollo Saltado's. We got there a bit early, so he offered me a seat and some free, absolutely delicious potatoes with what I believe was their mild sauce. Let me just say these were amazing on their own - crispy, perfectly seasoned, and the sauce was just the right touch. So while I waited, I chatted with another customer who was equally enjoying some potatoes while she waited. The person at the register who I believe was the owner was very courteous and kind, offering us a drink if we wanted while we waited and keeping us updated. He was very friendly and sociable, something that I think is invaluable in a business. The food arrived piping hot, and the care and attention paid to it was fabulous. The sauce soaked into the fries beneath, creating this amazingly flavorful combination with the onions and chicken. The rice was cooked perfectly and absorbed whatever juice was left behind after devouring the fries at the bottom. Let me just say that no one likes soggy fries - but these? First off Urbana is such a cute and clean town. We stopped at lime chicken pollo and were immediately greeted by Navi at the register. Navi was so patient and explained to us what the Peru specialties were. We then sat down at one of three tables (limited seating as this is primarily a take out place).

Food was prepared fresh and came out steaming. Everything was PHENOMENAL. The customer service was also 10/10. Navi would check on us if everything was okay and if we needed anything. He was also curious in which sauces we liked best. Which was funny as we each had a favorite one!

Everyone went crazy over the roasted potatoes which were crisp to perfection and so spicey in the best way. The l brussel sprouts were delicious, crisp and had a good salt kick. The chicken was drool worthy as it was tender and the veggies and sauce were excellent. Everything tasted fresh even the fried rice! The yucca fries were also a hit especially in the mild sauce!

We will be back again and need to order the family meal to bring home for the rest of our family to try!

My wife and I finally tried this place out since it’s opening. We ordered online, which they open at 11 and could only place an order for 11:15. We had to wait a bit longer being they just opened and the online system shouldn’t allow it to be that close. Understandable reasons, and no complaints about that, noted for next time. The staff were very friendly and we got our food not too long after. We got spicy sauce along with mild to go. We got the quarter dark chicken with roasted potatoes and Mac, and also a chicken quesadilla. The quesadilla was good and the Mac n cheese was better than most places around. The roasted potatoes were okay, and I would either add a condiment or try something else next time. They appear to be seasoned and deep fried. The chicken was really good. The flavor made me think of awesome backyard barbecue and family cookouts👌🏼. Would definitely recommend and get again. I tried the spicy sauce a little, as I’m not too into green sauces. It was good but not my type of thing. The little amount I had, had a little kick. The portions were good, not too little and not too much.
