Jasmine Al-Sham Mediterranean Carry-out — Restaurant in Maryland

I was very disappointed to arrive last evening at 6:40 to order a chicken platter. I called before hand to ask if their meat was halal and if there food tasted like to halal food trucks. Not once did the man tell me they were out of anything when I called. So I arrived at 6:40 was never greeted upon arrival. Waited for several minutes watching a guy in the back doing something. When he finally came up to the front I said I’d like to order two chicken platters. He said no rice. Done for the night. Very disappointing when you don’t close for another hour and 20 min. This isn’t the first time this happened either. When I was having ice cream with my children in that area a few months ago my son wanted fresh cut fries. It was 7:05 and door was closed and locked. Just a little advice if your hours say till 8 you should have your doors open and serving food later. Very disappointing. Jasmine Alsham's catered my son's rehearsal dinner at the end of May, 2022. The food and flavors were absolutely delicious. By far my favorite was the Babaghanoush with a blend of flavors and textures that was so refreshing. A close second was the M'hamara hitting all the right spice notes. Even the rice had a flavor of it's own. We indulged in the full Mediterranean cuisine ie, chicken, lamb, salad, baklava, etc. that Jasmine Alsham's had to offer. Everyone went back for seconds; I'm so glad I ordered up. Admittedly, I was nervous going with a smaller footprint for catering such an important celebration, but the owner Nawaf and his son took good care of us and even provided small cards that identified the food to place next to the containers and trays. Went there late at night and ended up spending so much cause everything looked and smelled amazing. I got two different platters chicken and beef both flavorful and delicious. The platters come with a bunch of meat and your choice of two sides all on a bed of rice that I wish I knew how to make myself. The lentil soup was warming and was just what is needed on a cold night. The lamb shawarma sandwhich the I got was by far my favor the lamb is something out of the norm for me and really hits the spot for someone looking for something meaty.
